Simplicity 4448; ©1953; Misses' One-Piece Dress: Fitted bodice has short kimono type sleeves and V neckline. One button closes bodice front. Skirt is flared. Purchased or self fabric belt may be worn. Collar and cuffs of View 1 are of contrasting fabric. View 2, buttons fasten large patch pockets to skirt.
When photographing nature close up, it amazes me sometimes as to the simplicity of reproduction. Most would probably not notice the spore on many fronds and leaves, but I find it quite interesting and fascinating.

Bird's nest fern is a common name applied to several related species of epiphytic ferns in the genus Asplenium. They grow in a tight, nest-like clump with a lingulate leaf rosette and are usually epiphytic, growing in trees. Bird's nest Ferns may also be seen growing on rocks and they will grow in the ground, too.
The term spore derives from the ancient Greek word σπορά spora, meaning "seed, sowing," related to σπόρος sporos, "sowing," and σπείρειν speirein, "to sow."

"How to apply a waistband with back closing"): The skirt V. 1 or 2 and the pantskirt V. 3 or 4 have back zipper closing and waistband. The short skirt V1 and short pantskirt V. 3 with top stitched patch pockets has top stitching forming simulated fly front. V. 2 skirt is below knee length. V. 4 pantskirt is ankle length.
What: Some wild plant with small whitish flowers.
When: This photo was taken on August 21, 2010.
Why: The photo was taken because the simplicity of the plant attracted me.
Where: This photo was taken in my neighbors garden, on the ground floor.
How: Pointed my camera at the flower, zoomed in and shot. It is all natural light.

"The dress with princess seaming has trumpet skirt, high round neckline, back zipper and set in sleeves. A matching hat is worn with dress. Regular length V1 and 2 have short puff sleeves with elastic casings. V1 has lace edging trim at neck edge. V2 has contrasting detachable collar. Above knee length V3 has long sleeves and contrasting detachable collar and cuffs."
Half size slenderette--misses' and women's one piece dress and cape. Sleeveless dress features bodice with square front neckline and round back neckline. Easy gored skirt has yoke pockets at side front. V1 features contrasting piping at side front seams of bodice and skirt. Cape and facing are same fabric as belt and piping and it fastens to buttons on dress bodice. V2 has self or purchased belt and contrast trim on dress neck edge and on cape.

My newest simplicity bag in this lovely fabric by Anna Maria Horner. This print and colorway reminds me of henna tattoos. The striped fabric is a reproduction civil war print.
