Simplicity 8602; ©1969; Misses' Dress in Half Sizes: The dress with back zipper and high round neckline has collar with optional self fabric tie slipped thru opening in neck seam, short set-in sleeves and optional self fabric tie belt. V. 1 is slightly "A" line. V. 2 with pleated skirt stitched to bodice below normal waistline has optional braid trim.
I've been looking for maternity pants with front pockets for a while now ever since getting spoiled with my first child. I had a pair with snaps that adjusted all the way through and I even had them on when I went into labor. These ties are just as wonderful and in some ways better since you can pull one tie each with one hand and you're done. They're perfect for casual pants. I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear this up to Month Nine but the time stitching it up was worth it.
This is just too awesome, and the packet illustration knows it. Look at that girl on the right: Demure-yet-clever dress, rock-star corset belt, and amazing oversized curls. And attitude to spare.

(Transfer for Embroidery Included): Top-stitched shirt with front band button closing has shirt type collar and set-in sleeves. V.1 or 2 with yoke has long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. V.1 features embroidery. V.2 has contrasting yoke. V.3 or 4 has short sleeves with tuck detail. V.3 has lace edging.
(c)1964. Blouse has a jewel neckline, kimono sleeves and fastens with a zipper or loop and button back closing. V.1 sleeves are elbow length.Tab is trimmed with top-stitching and buttons. V. 2 blouse with braid trim has short sleeves. The A line skirt with darts and side zipper is fitted to waistband.

Simplicity is one of the main
components of most good photographs.
The simpler the picture, the easier
it is for the viewer to comprehend
the subject and appreciate it.
Cluttered images and backgrounds are
less visually pleasing and more likely to
cause the subject and lesser objects to
confuse each other visually.

Simplicity 5392; ©1964; Juniors' and Misses' One-Piece Dress or Jumper and Blouse: Blouse features a front button closing and a roll collar with long pointed ends. Long, set-in sleeves gather to fit in cuffs that fasten with buttons. Blouse is fitted with darts. A line jumper has a slightly scooped neckline, front underarm darts, back waistline and shoulder darts and a back zipper closing. The upper edge is joined to a yoke in front. Top-stitching and a self fabric bow trim the jumper. Bow is optional.
The only sewing I got done this weekend: this frilly little apron using Simplicity 3949 and one of my favorite Robert Kaufman fabrics. I figure with all the time I've been spending in the kitchen, I might as well do some kitchen-related sewing.
It's hard for me to find fitting trousers, so I tried to sew myself a fitting one.
On the simplicity homepage, the back envelope says that the trousers should have a side length of about 105 cm. Compared to my measurements, I needed to remove about 14 cm. After cutting out the pattern, I removed 1 cm of length in the mid of waist and hips, and additional each 5 cm above and below the knee. And the rest of the length I decided to adjust when sewing up the hem. Shortening was perfect, I only realized that I bigger darts in the back part.

The collarless and sleeveless A-line dress has slightly lowered round neckline. V. 1 & 3 have back zipper closing and waistline darts. V. 1 has bib with embroidered eyelet edging, button and ribbon bow trim. Rick-rack and button trimmed V. 2 without waistline darts has back opening with loop and button. V. 3 has embroidered eyelet beading and ribbon trim.
