Only in 1971 could acid green have been considered a flattering color suggestion for anyone.

I like the other two, though. I had a Swiss-girl-esque dress when I was in kindergarten--blue with an eyelet apron. It was a hand-me-down, so it was probably about the same age as this.

Velcro instead of a tie - I think a tie is a bit unsafe at this age.

Navy Blue Polyester silk fabric. October 2010

This dress is just lovely when finished and has a great fit, but it is not a beginner's pattern. Do not be fold by it being a Threads Collection pattern with the tagline, "Step by step to sewing success!" The directions on the pattern are no more clear than normal sewing patterns and you must know how to do things like darts, zippers, slipstitching, gathers, sleeves, etc. in order to successfully do this pattern. I would recommend this pattern if you're at least an intermediate sewer.

This is not your normal travel photo, but it shows a refreshingly quaint feature of this community center bathroom -- bars of soap instead of the typical. The center was a simple building we stumbled on when needing a restroom.

A dad goes fishing in the park, and along his daughter comes to watch.

Simplicity is beatifull!

This lovely couple did not want posed pictures at all.

And they where so happy with this shot.
