Followed the pattern pretty closely except that I modified the collar by putting tucks in it rather than twisting it.

my first attempt making a built by wendy pattern. i made the top in a size 6 with a rayon-poly blend from my fabric stash. i really how simple and flattering this top is. i omitted the elastic in the arms, b/c i don't like my shirts to fit too tightly in that area.
Simplicity8026; ©1977; Misses' Dress or Jumper in Two Lengths: Dress or jumper, with gored skirt stitched to bodice above normal waist, has back zipper, front inset and tie ends. V. 1 has ruffle, ruffled pockets and topstitching. V. 2, longer length, has lace edging trim, and short flared sleeves gathered to armholes.
This is my best simplicity photo because the reflection of the figure on the dark wood makes it look good, and if gives off a loving and welcoming mood, which I created by increasing the warmth and adjusting the lighting, creating a line of light that surrounded the subject.

Top is view F from Simplicity 2554. I made it out of a rayon/lycra knit instead of the recommended woven and shirred the bottom for a better fit.

I found this metal overhang on an old building and there was water dripping from the snow melting. I tried my best to get a water drop, but there wasn’t a lot dripping off so I went with the clearest one I got. The lighting is from the sun on a cloudy day, this part of the building was in the shade, so this is all soft light. I wanted the drip to me the main focus so I put that in the center of the shot, the lines from the windows and over hang lead your eyes around the photo as well, but the drop is what catches the eye first.
I was messing around with my shutter speed while taking these photos, I could have gone with a higher one to capture more drops, but I also like the simplicity of the one drop.
The one thing I would change about this would have been to use a faster shutter speed and get more water to flow down, but the water was the one thing I couldn’t control.
I do like how this looks, I like the colors and the textures on the tin and the brick building.
