Simplicity 1736; ©1946; Teen-Age One-Piece Dress, Jumper and Blouse: Cleverly contrived, the jumper is made with outside tucks at the front shoulders and darted at the back shoulders. The back neck opening closes with a slide fastener. A festive looking belt of contrasting felt cinches the waist which has no seam. The blouse is tucked at the front waist and darted at the back shoulders. There is a side opening, as well as a back neck opening with a slide fastener. The roll collar is neat and the softly gathered bracelet sleeves are flattering.

I thought this was a very simple scene of a fire hydrant at a school. Not much going on but a clear bright yellow subject.

Regular-length V. 1 has self fabric button trimmed carriers and purchased belt worn below normal waistline. V. 2 & 3 are shorter length. Pantdress V. 2 has short set-in sleeves. Lace trimmed V. 3 has contrasting belt, buttoned in front, worn below normal waistline.

The sleeves were huge (and also the neckline) – I do not remember exactly but I think I removed about 4 centimeters at the shoulder seam. The sleeves and neckline are still a bit wide for my taste but I was already working with my good fabrics and if I chose to remove more, the top would have been a bit short. To prevent the bra straps from showing, I added bra strap carriers (thanks to pinterest had pinned this tutorial from Dixie DIY earlier).
This is my best example of simplicity. I really like this photograph because it is very simple like it should be. I chose this for my best example because I think it clearly demonstrated simplicity, the lighting was good, and it has a clear subject. To create contrast in my image, I used the basics panel and warmed up the photograph a little, gave it some tint, lowered the highlights, and also added some vibrance and saturation. The mood I was trying to create was a calm and relaxing mood.
You just know this didn't work out that well in real life.
Is it just me, or are Seventies laced-placket shirts the epitome of man-skank?

Simplicity 2846, I took a sewing class and it was my first try at altering a pattern to fit MY body. I'm really happy with the results!

While taking pictures at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), my friends and I (Kathy Wesserling and Kennen White) stopped to take pictures of the Volkswagen backdrop. On one of my shots, I decided to focus in on one little area of this lit background, trying to capture something of pure simplicity.
Now i know, i always say ive done my last drop shot... Well... I lie alot...
I was trying for something more then just a drop, but that plan became Epic Fail quite fast. But i was shooting using a single drop instead of stream, from a good height, and not in my kitchen sink no less. At least got some good drops, and compared to my usual, im quite happy with the simplicity in this one.
Might make it a wallpaper...
