Miss Red Gingham's dress is nowhere near long enough for her to be doing whatever it is she's doing. Yikes!

Three iterations and counting of this yoked skirt.

Presque Isle State Park, Erie, PA. I really like the simplicity of this shot in B & W. It is beautiful in color, but this just spoke to me. Please view large.

The sadly out-of-print Simplicity 2591 made up in a blue floral cotton/linen blend. Blogged about at Idle Fancy!

Russ Miles and David Dawson came to Skills Matter and gave a one day workshop on how to inject simplicity in software. Working in teams, delegates created their code to navigate a real world AR drone (without crashing it!), learning how to break down a problem and tradeoff for the right values in Architecture, Design and Code. How to create the right number of tests to build the right level of confidence and how to enable Real Application Agility through Simplicity.

You can see the SkillsCasts (film, code, slides) of the day at: skillsmatter.com/event-details/home/russ-miles-practical-...

Camel linen/cotton blend from Spotlight. I top stitched with denim thread. For the blouse I used Imazu fabric from Tessuti Fabrics, in the colour "Night". It's a shibori-style 100% cotton fabric.

I made this Simplicity 2892 last year during Top Week, too! The fabric is a cotton lawn purchased last summer from fabric.com. The only variation I added was four rows of shirring to the hem to add some shape.
