I found a stash of old Simplicity sewing patterns in a box of stuff I got from an auction! SO fun to see these things! Mom used to make all our clothes when we were kids. Made me remember the look of the patterns and the smell of a fabric shop!

I was heading out for some night shooting, and couldn't ignore the setting sun. I went out on this point of rock and shot for a while facing west. Then, as the sun disappeared, I turned east... and got this.

I like its stark simplicity and the way the long exposure (two and a half minutes!) makes the ocean all silky.

I did a lot of Project Life shots today, but have also been playing on Elements this evening as I have just started the Kim Klassen ecourse. Beyond Layers Day 2 was entitled Just Enough and the task for the week was "say more... with less..."
