I found a stash of old Simplicity sewing patterns in a box of stuff I got from an auction! SO fun to see these things! Mom used to make all our clothes when we were kids. Made me remember the look of the patterns and the smell of a fabric shop!
Painted ads from an era gone by cling to the aging brick of this building in a small town in Arkansas. The irony of the title follows the abundant patterns and tones throughout this photograph. Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome.

Leonardo da Vinci once said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Simplicity in design calms us and somehow inspires us, not only in architecture but also in other forms of design. Apple, for example, has refined its products over the years to such a beautiful simplicity that the products have become collectibles based on their design alone.
Today I went to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa with some new friends, we had a great time, and the kids all enjoyed their playdate. On the way in I seen this bush, man I wish I knew what kind it was. So on the way out, I took the time to capture this beautiful sight.
Daffodil on a texture from Terry Pellmar, T25 B. Going for a minimalistic look, but still with a bit of a background.
