Snares are anchored cable or wire nooses set to catch wild animals. The simplest and very effective. They are cheap to produce and easy to set in wide numbers.
This would have to be the simplest way to take lightning photography, Congrats Olympus, this is a FANTASTIC feature
Doing deadpan New Topographics is the simplest kinfd of photography there is: Just lifting the camera and push the button. 6 shots on my way to a nearby cafe, 550 meters walk. And then a chicken soup followed by a cappuccino.

And then we decided to go out on our scooter, of course I was driving because you, my love, would kill us (lol) with the wind in our faces and a lot of speed, we went to beautiful places, we laughed, we cried laughing again because you are so funny, my love, I can say that, you make my simplest days the best of my life...
you're more than a soulmate, you're a piece of my soul❤️️
Caban Coch dam in full flow after a lot of rain locally. Caban Coch is the simplest of the Elan Valley dams, being in effect a big wall without the towers or bridges that the other dams have. So when the reservoir reaches capacity, the extra water flows over the top to form this amazing waterfall. The dam face is deliberately 'lumpy' to help to slow the water down a bit and hence reduce it's erosive force. The two structures at the base of the dam are regulators that let water flow out and hence meet the legal requirement of a minimum water flow into the Elan River that was written into the Act of Parliament that governed the contruction of the dams. At times of flood like this, nature takes over and there is no need for the regulators to operate.
The catchment area is 180 Sq Kilometers, and the area gets an average of 1830mm of rain per year, and it all comes togther at this point. From here 360 million litres of water per day is sent down the pipes to Birmingham.

…But Jonathan Livingston Seagull, unashamed, stretching his wings again in that trembling hard curve - slowing, slowing, and stalling once more - was no ordinary bird.
Most gulls don't bother to learn more than the simplest facts of flight - how to get from shore to food and back again.
For most gulls, it is not flying that matters, but eating.
For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight.
More than anything else.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull loved to fly…

No matter how many times I'll see this in my life, I'll always stand in awe and wonder for such beauty, it will never cease to impress me with it's constant variety, this play and display of light.
Peace descends and envelops my soul.
No manipulation nor filters used, none needed!
I prefer taking 'uplifting' images...life is tough enough, there is more than plenty of 'darkness' and 'Angst'...
I am not 'hiding' from reality, only refuse to only live with 'that', I want to show there IS still 'ANOTHER', beautiful, side to it... for those who care to look?
Wishing you a glorious day and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

Ullswater - All About The Light
I love working on these types of mornings, where the simplest compositions can come alive with the addition of some beautiful light.

Contrasting menus at one of my favourite seafood restaurants. I think that this demonstrates that with photograph, you can even find beauty in the simplest of things that we take for granted.
I love my home, I'm so thankful for what I'm able to see more and more each day as I grow older, the beauty in the simplest things.
Simplest of things
"..Expressing the simplest things
We often run out of words
Fumble to give some meaning
For they are simplest of things
Do not hide behind guise of words
The heart understands for sure..."

➤ Tranquility in the absence of abundance is a gate to a dimension of meanings beyond mere visual perception. It piques the senses to peep through, hoping for a bare beauty emerging to sight amongst the least of things. And indeed, there will be in its most earnest state. The simplest allure where decoration is at its slightest.
I have always thought that in the simplest things in everyday life you can make great images, with anything through macro photography. In the same way that I say this, I am totally convinced that many people can see an image like this and think ... shit! what the fuck image is this? hahaha and maybe they are right ... but I stay in my position, because I see beauty there !! I'm probably getting older and it shows! I hope you like it too even if it's just a little ...
I'm going to put a link to a song that gives me a good brutal vibe, they don't have an official video yet, so I'm going to leave the one that I listen to! I hope I can convey my good vibes today! Watch out!!!! If you don't want to have a good time, don't listen to it, because this has a rhythm, a lot of rhythm ... and remember how the song says "Somos increíbles" (We are incredible) so be it ... have a happy Friday, my friend!

Ko Kret; Thailand is renowned above all as a centre for kwan aman, a style of Mon pottery, which is unglazed terraocotta carved with intricate patterns. Prices for the simplest and smallest pots start from as low as 5 baht a piece, but can go up to hundreds or even thousands of baht for large ornate pieces. Particularly popular among visitors are candle and incense holders with ornate patterns of holes to let the smoke or light out, averaging around 200 baht.; credit wikitravel

On my evening stroll, I often see things that I don't notice on my photography tours. Perhaps because I'm not expecting anything special. I often find the simplest things beautiful. This is one example.
We’re busy a lot and it’s sometimes not easy to take in the simplest of beauty and comfort. Days pass us by and the nights are when we relax and rest. We’re surrounded by responsibilities and some of which we actually enjoy. Seldom do we stop to smell the roses. We’re fortunate to have Nature so close to enjoy and remind us to focus too on the beauty that’s around us daily. We should treat ourselves the true luxury of Nature and to do our best to

Choosing to follow the tide is undoubtedly the simplest path. However, having the courage and putting in the effort to be different and stand alone is truly rewarding. Embracing your unique self brings a sense of fulfillment and joy that cannot be matched. Dare to be different and have fun doing that!
In The Wild....
The simplest things are often the prettiest, the random chance of a wildflower or a weed, which grows at will in the oddest places; along a trail, beside a busy roadway, at the edge of a river or even the small cracks and gaps of a sidewalk... they do bring beauty to our urban world.

Another Rorschach moment in it's simplest form. One incense stick overlaid and mirrored in post. Dust specks removed and
saturation boosted in photoshop.
Two flashes and 2 LED panels for lighting. Lighting Modifiers consisted of LaCroix boxes, printing paper, packing tape and rubber bands. Not very sophisticated with the modifiers but it worked.
This iPhone picture of St Philip's cathedral was featured as the BBC Midlands Picture of the Day. Always amazed that the simplest of pictures can be the most popular.
Sixth picture of the series Simplicity.
Sometimes, in the simplest things, the most common is the true beauty of nature.
On many occasions, nature photographers seek the most shocking photo, or the most impressive place, but never forget that we are surrounded by simple and true beauty.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Monday. :)
