I mentioned to my friend Carrie today about a poem I could totally relate to. It points out the poet's impractical characteristics. I let apples rot, thinking I will take a photo of decomposition and instead walk into a stinking room one day and wonder what the smell is lol The poems is below:

The newspaper on the table,
Confessing its lies.
The melon beside it,
Plump, unspoiled,
Trying to forget
That it was ever wrapped
In anything so
Scandalous, so banal.
Already out, the knife,
Confident lover.
It smiles. It knows
How attractive it is
To sunlight. On the wall,
A guitar, in shadow,
Remembering hands . . .
I don’t come into the picture.
Poets, O fellow exiles,
It’s your scene now, and welcome.
You take up the guitar.
You cut up the melon.
But when are you going to
Roll up the newspaper, swat
The flies, take out all the garbage?
Mañana? Always mañana.

I did another frilly thing before that I got from a tutorial and so I decided to my own original frilly thingy that was more original... but still simple... I like simple sometimes :-)
Gabe learned simple notation for his compositions today. He was also pretty excited to find out that his name (G-A-B-E) is musical, too. :)
My old boss and still Uncle (mikey) has been working in a new style. These simple "bent" looking pieces with no visable hardware and free edges beveling are pretty amazing.
