This was a church I spent time in on my trip. It was in a small Bavarian style village surrounded by a busy more modern town. There were nicer and grander churches along the way, but I felt most comfortable here. As I did at all of them I said hello and thank you for a lot of things. And asked for some things for others. Then left. None of my thoughts were dramatic. Just simple things. But still very meaningful. And that’s it. Really. Well there was a confessional booth the size of a house and so that was calling my name but that’s a whole other post and didn’t happen here.

...I wish every thing else in my life was this beautiful and simple right now...I still have not done the homework for my photography class...not that I havent tried...I just havent succeded...I cannot believe that a one day class seems to come so quickly....I AM however almost done with Emilys announcements...I decided on a picture...no more waiting for better weather...I had to go with the best one that I had...I think we are happy...now the prom dress..the haircut...the BOY...the graduation....~sigh~
Pattern is from the book Blended Quilts by Marsha McCloskey and Sharon Yenter. Fabrics are mostly florals and toiles, some of my favorites. And the beautiful quilting was done by Oak Grove Quilter...Susan did a fabulous job! The medallion style quilt is also one of my favorites.
We had a day out at Drayton Manor theme park today. I love that amongst the rides they have a little zoo with a selection of animals to look at.
A few years ago my husband adopted a meerkat for me as a present so whenever we visit Drayton Manor I always pay them a visit.
I have no idea if this is my adoptee, Aja but he/she was willing to pose for a pretty decent picture so maybe it was.
This simple-looking equipment, designed by Florida Tech faculty member Dr. Joe Dwyer, was the first to discover that X-rays lived inside lightning.

I did another frilly thing before that I got from a tutorial and so I decided to my own original frilly thingy that was more original... but still simple... I like simple sometimes :-)
