Originally located on Main Street in Belleview, these Italianate and Carpenter Gothic Revival-style house and former post office were constructed circa 1878 and 1880 for Jonas Clore. According to aerial imagery, in 2004-2005 the house and the adjacent historic post office, which stood in the way of the northward expansion of the Belleview Baptist Church, were moved approximately 800 feet southeast of their original location to a previously open field at the corner of 7th Street and Sycamore Street, and the house was expanded with an addition that included a garage. As part of the move, the house was rotated 180 degrees from its original orientation, with the front facade now facing north instead of south.
The Italianate and Carpenter Gothic-style Jonas Clore House is a wood-frame house featuring wooden clapboard siding, a side gable roof covered in standing seam metal with bracketed eaves, replacement windows, two entrance doors with transoms from the front porch, and a shed-roof front porch with decorative columns and a wooden railing. An addition on the west side of the building was added after the move in 2005, and features two gabled sections connected via small hallways to the historic structure, which are simpler in their detailing than the original house, but reference its roofline and materials. To the southwest of the house is the historic post office building, which now sits behind the garage portion of the addition. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
The Carpenter Gothic-style Old Belleview Post Office is a wood-frame building featuring wooden clapboard siding, a side gable roof covered in standing seam metal with decorative wooden Gothic Revival-style trim on the eaves, six-over-six double-hung windows, and the original doors, which are sheltered by shed canopies. The structure today sits in the back yard of the Jonas Clore, behind the garage portion of the 2005 addition to the house. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

What do you see? Some leaves of a fern and other plants? The waterdrops? The composition with the well focussed leaves and the unsharpen background? ....
It's all a question of your understanding of size if you think you must be carfully with this touchily green.
I see a trail like a bridge from the right to the left, covered by a big strong leave which won't break by the weight of the heavy waterdrops, and more about this it's a wonder that the thin branch gives enough stabilisation for this heavy roof. Now imagine you're not taller than a lady beetle and it's your trail. Are you brave enough to go your way while all is moving flexible in the wind, while every falling drop is like an earthquake?
