Few things that I have qualifying as...
Our Daily Challenge - June 27, 2015 - "A Family Treasure"
... are "dog safe", even for just photographic purposes.
A possible exception are these glass ice cream dishes.
Growing up, my family had always enjoyed ice cream - especially the homemade, hand-cranked variety.
These dishes (2 of 12) were purchased to hold small flower arrangements on the tables at our wedding reception some 27 years ago, with the thought that Hubby and I could enjoy many a good dish of ice cream together in the years ahead.
And we certainly have!
There is something to be said for sturdy, dishwasher-safe glass.
And who knows, perhaps Son will some day find a place for them in his cupboard.
For the record, they comfortably hold...

Pattern is from the book Blended Quilts by Marsha McCloskey and Sharon Yenter. Fabrics are mostly florals and toiles, some of my favorites. And the beautiful quilting was done by Oak Grove Quilter...Susan did a fabulous job! The medallion style quilt is also one of my favorites.
Some of the floats were simple, while others were more elaborate. Most were pulled by a variety of big rigs that included road sanders, dump trucks and even a 16-wheeler.

Simple and beautiful life of my village which i like most, spend my one of the most memorable moment of life.
I did another frilly thing before that I got from a tutorial and so I decided to my own original frilly thingy that was more original... but still simple... I like simple sometimes :-)

My old boss and still Uncle (mikey) has been working in a new style. These simple "bent" looking pieces with no visable hardware and free edges beveling are pretty amazing.
One of the lawyer girls is leaving... the lawyer boss asked the girls to buy some food and we had a simple lunch farewell for her....
