During this lockdown, I've enjoyed spending more time in my garden. I'm a keen gardener anyway and have always found it inspiring when watercolouring. However, during the current circumstances, the garden has provided benefits both mentally and physically and I am relishing each seed germinating, flower bud forming, fern fronds unfurling and the burst of colour as the flowers start to emerge. To celebrate all things floral, I picked out this beautiful set from Simon Says Stamp.

Cool colours version of my CAS stamped watercolouring with Simon Says Stamp products as part of the SSS Flickr group challenge 126 "Crazy for Coloring" in honour of Kathy Raccosin's the Daily Marker 30 Day colour challenge. I used an emboss resist for the small flowers from the Spring Flowers stamp set and then used the Brush Strokes Messages rectangle with Debbie Hughes' Palette card of Daniel Smith watercolours in Sap Green, Ultramarine Turquoise, and Phthalo Green Blue Shade along with painting in the flowers with more concentrated colour. The sentiment is stamped with black Archival ink and then clear heat embossed. Clear jewels were added to finished it off. #SSSFlickrchallenge126

My first card for the latest Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge, Do It With Dies. I colored my panel with alcohol inks, embossed it with a folder and then sanded the raised area a bit. It's always fun to experiment.

I have a watercoloured flower garden to share today which includes individually watercoloured and die-cut pieces that are then layered together to create a sweet scene. I can't wait until I can get out in my garden more. Spring can't come soon enough!

For the first time, I made a card based on a sketch from Sketch Saturday. I found Sketch Saturday week #279 and I wanted to give it a try.

I used papers, sequins, and tree stamp from the Simon Says Stamp October 2013 card kit.

I also used a stamp from Landstoken. Added some twine and a heart cut out with the Silhouette Cameo. The heart is colored with acrylic paint from the card kit. I used distress inks for the tree and background and Memento tuxedo black ink for the text. I also sprayed with perfect pearls on the sky for some shimmer but, unfortunately, I don't think it shows in the photo.
