Here is my project for the Always Fun Challenges blog and also the SSS Flickr Challenge #80. The sentiment is from the Thankful Heart set from SSS which was part of the November 2016 card kit. I love the traditional blues and reds of a nautical theme but sometimes its nice to mute things down a touch with a softer palette. I'm using both the negative and positive of the classic Sailboat die in the July Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp ⛵

Hello again, and Happy New Year! I'm starting the year as I mean to go on by sticking to what I know and love. A beautiful botanical image and a set of paints make me so happy; that is what 2023 will be about for me. Doing what is right for my family and me. I continue to take the pressure off myself to post on social media. Maybe what I will share will be me puddling around with paints with no plan or finished project in mind. I just can't get enough of these Simon Says Stamp Peeking Bunny and Chick dies! Here's another card I created for the SSS Flickr Challenge - die cutting.

I have another mixed media card for you today. I started a bunch of backgrounds off recently; First, I taped a few pieces of card to boards and started adding layers of watercolour paint as I went about my day, letting them dry and do their thing without being fussed over. As the day went on I added old book papers, fibres, crackle paste, die cuts, sentiment strips, glitter ... you name it and I put it on there and I had such a great time adding all these little details. I had fun arranging these stamped and die cut flowers from Simon Says Stamp - the shapes are some of my favourites for flowers and leaves and I love the clean design. I played around with bouquets and wreaths and in the end decided on the flowers blooming from a diagonal sentiment panel 😃🌼🌿

Today, I have a video on my blog! I know, they are few and far between and I know a lot of people prefer to see how things are made rather than just the photos of the finished results. I am trying to fit in the time to make more videos and I guess we will see how that goes! I think if I made more videos my processes would speed up as I became more accustomed to filming. For me, one of the issues I have is that as soon as the camera turns on my creativity shrinks back in shock LOL. Hopefully, as I record more I'll become more relaxed too. Anyway, I'm rambling today, here's my card using the Falling Leaves Laying stencil from Simon Says Stamp :D

I created the sky by blending Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Distress inks into a gray card base over clear heat embossed rain drops. Love the neat effect it created!

Finally got around to using my SSS July Card Kit with the Bee Yourself stamp set and Hexagon Die. Made a shaker card with these cute little bees. This is a card for Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge 143, Anything Goes.

For the SSS stencil challenge: SSS Sunflower Garden stamp (sss202382c) distress watercolored. Then using the SSS Falling Snow stencil (SSST121324) added Antique Linen Distress Ink splatters in the background to give the card a little depth. Love that I could use a stencil meant to be snow for an everyday card.

I made this card for SSS Flickr Challenge #19, SSS Monday and SSS Wednesday Challenges.

I used stamp Flowers on my mind from SSS, and SSS inks Goldenlocks, Green leaf and Smoke

I made this card using the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings and MFT Horizontal Stitched Strips. I used gold embossing powder and vellum for the leaves. I made this for the latest SSS flickr challenge #51
