An image to conjure up thoughts of all the fun of the seaside complete with piers, amusement arcades and fish and chips. Here we see the sign above Felixstowe Pier's main entrance as photographed in May 2013.
In New Mexico's Ojito Wilderness.
Walk past the sign, make your way across the ranchland, climb up the rocks, and this is the view.
This is an HDR image. I think it's a little over the top. Mrs. M liked a version that was much denser, so this is a compromise. Opinions?

I'm still amazed at how quick Mother Nature changed gears. To recap what I said in my last photo, one week was the difference between 0°F and a deep snow cover to 50°F and plants growing and insects appearing.
This photo is a great example of just that. I found this Lady Bug walking around by my pond. That's a great sight regardless, because I haven't seen a true Lady Bug in years. In the background you can see some of my Lilies starting to grow. Yesterday, I was also surprised to see one of the Bullfrogs that hibernated in my pond. The pond is mostly frozen over but has thawed around the edges so it had just enough room to pop up and get some sun. It was a great sight to see.

One Of The Last Hand Painted Signs In Bescot Yard From The 1970's BR Days Is To Be Found On The Down Sidings Hump By The Old Down Tower.
"Electric Trains Access To Engine Release Line & Sidings 11, 12, 13 & 14"
The Sign Should Have Been Replaced When The Down Sidings Were Remodelled Around 2005 And The Engine Release Line Became One Of The Two Cripple Sidings
Where Andrew Malcolm and Margaret Cowie (my great great great grandparents) and various McIntyres and Findlays lived at the start of the 20th century (after the Malcolms had left Bogfon).
PLEASE
I guess ... aw, what the heck. It's TRIVIA TIME. I'll give ... a hardcover copy of JRR Tokien's Silmarillion to whoever can tell me exactly where this sign is.
