Chances are if your luggage wound up here if it was lost by an airline in the United States. The company has a contract with most airlines to purchase unclaimed baggage to resell in the store and on line.
The first Little Caesars restaurant in Garden City, Michigan. This location was opened on May 8, 1959. The strip mall it is located in has gone downhill and the restaurant has remodeled over the years too. This Little Caesars looked like this at one time, but I don't think the photo is the original look of this location.

as tonight is the oscars i thought i’d put up a picture of the hollywood sign.
well, actually the back of the hollywood sign.
i love that the hollywood sign has become this iconic image, representing l.a universally, far and wide.
what makes it amazing is that originally the hollywood sign was erected as temporary advertising for a real estate development.
originally it said ‘hollywoodland’ (the name of the real estate development), but the ‘land’ part fell down.
paris has the eiffel tower, nyc has the empire state building, rome has the colliseum, and l.a has a big old sign advertising a real estate development from the 20’s.
which, if you dislike l.a, you probably see it as a symbol of the quick, vapid, and disposable nature of l.a culture.
or if you like l.a (as i do) you see it as something kind of odd, modern, accidental, impermanent, and endearing.
so here’s to the world’s most famous and recognizable real estate development advertisement.

Since Conoco/Phillips has taken over, the old orange and blue globe signs are being replaced by flat red and blue signs.
Apparently, this sign dates back to the May Company days and the bell came from the flagship store in Cleveland when it closed.
A May Company department store (built in 1957) originally occupied the site this shopping center sits on. The store later switched to Kaufmann's. As a Kaufmann's, the site was redeveloped into University Square and a new department store building was built. In 2006, the store switched names to Macy's.
The University Square shopping center was opened in 2003. Today the shopping center has Target, Macy's and T.J. Maxx / Homegoods (Target and Macy's own the property their stores are on). University Square once featured a Tops grocery store on the bottom level but it closed just a year later in 2006 when Tops closed all their Ohio locations. Retailers such as Jo-Ann Fabrics, Foot Locker, Famous Footwear, and Pier 1 Imports have all either closed or relocated elsewhere. Some spaces in the shopping center were never filled to begin with. Currently (late 2016), only one non-anchor store, T.J. Maxx / Homegoods, remains at University Square, but plans to move to nearby Oakwood Commons. Applebee's also still has a restaurant in the shopping center. Today, there are talks about possible mixed-use redevelopment plans for University Square
The shopping center has five levels of parking and staggered store levels. 1- Access to Macy's and Applebee's, 2- Empty Tops Friendly Market level, 3- Access to Macy's, T.J. Maxx / Homegoods, and Target, 4- just for parking, 5- second level of Target.
