Mission district in San Francisco, CA. I usually put in the whole sign. But the little $5 digital camera I was using often gives you less than the viewer shows. However, I liked this composition and the color shift the camera gave (the sign is really more of a deep red). Palm Clix digital camera.

A Sure Sign That Summer is on the Way

« You know how fragile our minds are, Lord.

In your unlimited wisdom,

Strengthen me that, when grasshoppers fiddle in the fields,

My heart won't break with grieving.

The dream and the reality, to me, are one –

I yearn for storied names and places;

Strengthen me, Lord, that before death awhile

Grasshoppers and I might be merry together. »

Prayer, a poem by Leonardas Andriekus

If Moon Pies were only 5 cents, the building it's painted on must be pretty old. It's definitely abandoned and attracted me enough to pull off the road and shoot it.

On Pangong Lake Road on the way to Pangong Lake, Ladakh.

A Manhattan-bound (N) train of R46 cars (Pullman-Standard, 1975-1978) is seen on the BMT Sea Beach Line from the 13th Avenue overpass. The trees along the line had just started to turn green again, ending my least favorite season of the year: gray stick season.

This is an endangered roadside attraction in east Mesa, Arizona. In 1947, it became the spring training home to the NY Giants (now San Fransisco) and it remained that way for the next 25 years.
