This is the building of the Imperial Household Agency inside the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
Technical Note
The "fake tilt-shift" here is not a reference to the usual emulation of a Tilt-Shift lens in order to make a shot similar to one of a miniature.
Here I used my 10-22 to emulate the classical use of a Tilt-Shift lens, have straight vertical lines !!!
I emulate the function of the tilt shift, I used a focal lens wider than the one I needed and then I shoted with the camera horizontal, after I take only the upper portion of the photo with a crop via software.
This is similar of what happen in a real tilt-shift where one has a larger image circle and then crop only a part over the sensor obtaining a picture with the optical axis not centered in the photo.

Tilt-shifted in Photoshop
It's good to get back into the snowboarding photo world. Nothing like sitting there for a few hours taking photos of professionals. I hope to get into this in the future.
Ok, I guess this is common with the early Strada/Ritmo's. The shifter turns to mush. I will get it leather wrapped.
My friend, Julia, recently moved to Switzerland. The photos in this series are her shots that I digitally tilt-shifted using Photoshop CS1 to varying degrees of success.
