Debut Attempt at Tilt Shifting!

Can Perspective be Changed through Photography?

I've always been amazed with how photographs of sprawling cities or landscapes can look like miniature models, so I decided to try a tilt-shift project. I took photos from the top of a parking garage, and tried making the scene look like a tiny model.

The first question I considered answering was "Can you make something Small look Big?", but decided to switch it around and turn something large into something that appears very small.

I think it turned out very well, although taking even more photos to try it on would have been great.

Photoshopping a fake tilt-shift effect from a World of Warcraft screenshot. Very meta.

I de-blurred the objects whose bottoms are in the focus zone to increase the sense of it being a macro shit - the spines, the demon, and the pillars.

I'm not as happy with this one as I was with the John King Books photo, but I'm having trouble figuring out what it is that needs to be changed.

Good enough for now.
