The Hair Fair is winding down this weekend and closes sometime tomorrow. You still have time to find some of the best hair designs on the grid and help children across the land who are suffering from various diseases feel a bit better about themselves since portions of the proceeds go to Wigs for Kids. This beautiful hair by enVOGUE is part of an amazing collection that was created for the Hair Fair. The textures are beautiful and the ....

perfectly ruined things
Chipped
Cracked
Shattered
Is that how you feel?
That man walking by
The girl who says hi
Your best friend
You close relative
What do you know—
Maybe
Just maybe
They're like you:
A perfectly
ruined
thing
If you stare
Right into their ever beating hearts
Into their silent soul
Maybe you'll find
A chip
A crack
Or maybe all you find are pieces
Of shattered self
They are like you
perfectly ruined things
You aren't so different
You are surrounded by yourself, over and over
Tiny little perfectly ruined things ignoring the pain
Building walls
Until you have forgotten
How you were before you became
perfectly
ruined
things

As you'll know by now, I try not to get into too much of an artistic rut with my photostream. As opposed to some of the florals of late that have been relatively figurative, today I was playing around with some photos I took on my monitor for a MonitorPano using a very old iPhone - I used 3 different ones, and created a triptych which I then heavily recoloured and added various textures to and then added lettering.
If you've not tried doing a MonitorPano before, then check out Richard Warner's instructions under this cool one of his here:
Someone once told me to be careful
when trying to fix a broken person for
you may cut yourself on their shattered
pieces.

I personally love the dawn atmosphere, for many reasons. The silence, the first light, the soft cold air; and being a sort of introvert, finding myself comfortable with the emptiness and no humans :) Most of all, I'd say everyone should have the experience of dawns sometimes, very charmingly refreshing they are.

Escaping the madness of the Coronation, we find ourselves in Berlin (no offence to any Royalists out there - each to their own 😉).
Happy Macro Monday 😊

(an old wooden boat with a traditional fish trap, in a storm)
The shattered water made a misty din.
Great waves looked over others coming in,
And thought of doing something to the shore
That water never did to land before.
The clouds were low and hairy in the skies,
Like locks blown forward in the gleam of eyes.
You could not tell, and yet it looked as if
The shore was lucky in being backed by cliff,
The cliff in being backed by continent;
It looked as if a night of dark intent
Was coming, and not only a night, an age.
Someone had better be prepared for rage.
There would be more than ocean-water broken
Before God’s last *Put out the Light* was spoken.
