I think this fire-ring takes the world record for most shattered glass bottles in a small area. There had to be 30 cases worth of shattered glass shards laying around.
I managed to survive the weekend with only one small piece lodged into my foot.
My friends and I used the Make: High-Speed Photography kit to take pics of cds breaking, balloons popping, paintballs splattering and getting split in mid air by a razor and roses that have been dipped in liquid nitrogen shattering.

A shatter cone is formed by the immense pressure that occurs during the impact, but little else is known about them. Notice the triangle shape in the rock? They appear all around, and do not always radiate out from the centre of the impact.
I love old shattered stuff and window reflections. So this photo just had to be taken.
I wonder what this flat looks like from inside? It's probably a little kingdom of old knick-knack and plastic flowers.

we changed the mirror on my closet this fall, so the old mirror's been sitting by the garbage, broken...i was just fascinated by it.
I was helping my mom decorate the tree at her office, and I dropped this particular ball. I felt bad..like I had hurt someone..I picked up all the pieces and brought it home with me..Like somehow I could make it better.. :\
