This should go under the category "stuff I didn't buy in a charity shop"!

The reason I photographed it was because my late mother bought this dinner service in the 1970's and it reminds me of that time. I'm pretty sure she had all the whole service.

I've Googled it and it's Royal Worcester Palissy Kalabar.

Special Operations Response Team - SORT (HART in England) Shoguns at SORT Foundation Training for Paramedics

As we know today marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War. Wakefield like all major towns and cities always hold a remembrance service. The march past and service involves members of the armed services, both past and present, the emergency services and various cadet groups. The weather was terrible and during the hour long service at the cenotaph the large crowd were drenched. The service was moving and had me with a strange mixture of goose bumps and a lump in my throat. The playing of the last post was most impressive.

I didn't feel it right to take pictures during the service but I did take a few shots at the end of the event.

Saw this Labradoodle named Bella at Barnes and Noble yesterday morning (July 28, 2019). She was in training to be a service dog.

NCS10P was a Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR / Alexander AL Type H43/31F purchased new by A1 Service member John James Murray of Saltcoats in July 1976. JJ Murray retired in 1982 and his two shares were split between Meney of Ardrossan and The Stevenson Motor Co. NCS10P passed to the latter, and remained in service until March 1989 when it passed to Kerr's of Galston. It then moved to Helm's of Eastham, Carver Coaches of Ellesmere Port and Averon of Formby.

While service 8&9 both pick up in Tillydrone, for the first five months there was no bus stop for passengers to alight on the north side meaning passengers had to alight at Hayton or Grandholm, a considerable walk. This was corrected in February when a new stop was built just in front of where this picture was taken. The stops on Gordon Brae were installed while he Road built but notably not lay-bys causing the queue of traffic evident behind 67088 seen beee on the 8.

Europe, Greece, Peleponnesos, Korinthia, Korinthos, OSE Station, Carriages, Interior (uncut)

Some time ago the Greek national railway operator OSE ( (Organismos Sidirodromon Eilados – literally: Greek Iron road Organization) suspendend the service on the narrow gauge railway network of the Peleponnesos. The trains had only run two years after a long and costly renovation of this network. The state-owned organization was and is under heavy pressure to cut costs and rationalize. It's very uncertain if regular trains will ever run again on this famous narrow gauge network. In 2012 and 2013 a few 'railway fans' chartered trains that ran on the tracks. The signalling and crossing equipment was not functional so the speed of these trains was limited and guards were used to secure the railway crossings.

By the way: the scenic Diafokto-Kalavrita rack railway is still in operation and Korinthos has a new station that connects the town with Athens and Kato through a modern standard gauge railway line. This station is at the edge of town and offers no access to the defunct narrow gauge network.

This is the start of a mini series about abandoned rolling stock, stations and infrastructure shot at the closed narrow gauge OSE station of Korinthos. Now the passengers and staff are gone, the rolling stock (both passenger and freight) is used/visited by the 'usual suspects': street artists, vagrants, homeless people, vandals and photographers.

F882VSJ was an all-Leyland Olympian ONCL10/1RZ H47/31F purchased new by A1 Service member McKinnon of Kilmarnock in December 1988. It passed to Chester City Transport in May 1991 as their number 11. It became number 34408 after the fleet passed to Firstbus, and was sold to Morris of Llanrheadr t/a Tanat Valley in October 2007.

It seemed the entire community turned out for Ethan Wilson's Memorial Service. He was an EMT, Firefighter, Surfer, Husband and Father. He died in a surfing accident earlier this month. 33 years old with a 2 month old child. Very sad. Coast guard and lifeguard boats joined the large gathering of surfers who paddled out in his honor. Couldn't decide which video I preferred, so I shared both: www.wesh.com/article/ormond-beach-firefighter-memorial/42...

Lancashire Fire And Rescue Service - Volvo Aerial Ladder Platform (P550 WHG) at Preston Fire Station.

Interdeck 54245 sits at Cove terminus having just completed its afternoon run on the 21A from Lochside. Unfortunately the driver just changed the display fro “Cove 21A” just as I took the photo.

Stagecoach Bluebird took over operation of the Lochside tenders from First Aberdeen last month. Under First Aberdeen this board would have been single deck bus operated but under Stagecoach an Interdeck is used in conjunction with NESCOL Altens shuttle and in turn in conjunction with the Buchan Express peak runs.

There is quite a difference in loadings on the 21A with more pupils coming home than going to school. Under First the 21A frequently missed out Charleston on its way to Lochside so I wonder if many pupils just walk given the close proximity to the school anyway to avoid being late. On a few occasions First would have to reroute a 22A bus via Charleston to pick up missed pupils.

WJS843X was a Volvo B58-56 / Plaxton Supreme V C45F purchased new by Newton's of Dingwall in February 1982. On disposal in July 1984 it passed to Hutchison's of Overtown and was re-seated to C53F. It was acquired by A1 Service member The Stevenson Motor Co in April 1985, but was downseated to C49F in August, and used mainly on the Glasgow Express Service. It left the fleet in late 1988 and passed to Gray Bros of Gartcosh, then JJ Travel of Coatbridge April 1997, then Webber of Bilsland in April 1998, then Webber Bros of St Austell in April 2003 where it was re-registered as TJI6314. By 2005 it was allegedly exported to South Africa.

It may appear to be a former Marathon Station, but information I found online indicated it was once a Sinclair Station. It is located in Arcola, Illinois.
