Because off the farewell tour from the oldest, with asbestos isolated, Hondekop EMU's one two-car unit was painted in its old green livery throuht a bunch of volenteers. EMU 321 in the depot from Blerick.
Highs in the 90's on September 19th led to very electric skies. Long shutter time captured some awesome stuff.

Photograph taken at 12:41pm on Friday 13th September 2013 of the Summit shrouded in cloud of Ben Nevis (Beinn Nibheis), the highest mountain in the British Isles, standing Thirteen hundred and forty four metres tall (4,409ft) above sea level and situated on the Grampian Mountains in the Lochbar area of the Scottish Highlands, near the town of Fort William.
The Gaelic translation of Ben Nevis is 'Venomous mountain' or 'mountain with its head in the clouds', and she was first ascended on August 17th 1771 by James Robertson. Ben Nevis forms a massif with Northeast neighbour Carn Mor Dearg, Aanach Beaf and Aonach Mor.
This frame was captured at an altitude of almost 750 metres from a mid stage of the Glen Coe Ski Resort (also known as 'Glencoe mountain' and White Corries ski centre', located on Meall a' Bhuiridh, a mountain on the edge of Rannoch Moor in the highlands of Scotland, close in proximity to Glen Coe and Glen Etive. The mountain is One thousand, One hundred and eight metres tall (3,635ft), ranked 36th in the UK with a prominence of 795 metres and the name in Gaelic means 'Hill of the bellowing'.
The River Coe runs through the valley and the views from the mountain include The Three Sisters, Meall Mor, Aonach Dubh and Bidean Nam Bian, the highest point in the former county of Argyll. Stob Coire Sgreamhach is designated as a separate Munro (a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 ft (914.4 m). Of course, there is always Ben Nevis to admire as well.
There are seven lifts on Meall a' Bhuiridh and nineteen ski runs. The Glen Coe ski resort lies on it's Northern slopes, and the cafe at the base serves the finest hot chocolate smothered with whipped cream and lashings of scrumptious marshmallows that I have ever tasted.

Louis Jolliet (September 21, 1645 – after May 1700) was a French-Canadian explorer known for his discoveries in North America.[1] In 1673, Jolliet and Jacques Marquette, a Jesuit Catholic priest and missionary, were the first non-Natives to explore and map the Upper Mississippi River.
While Hernando de Soto was the first European to make official note of the Mississippi River by discovering its southern entrance in 1541, Jolliet and Marquette were the first to locate its upper reaches, and travel most of its length, about 130 years later. De Soto had named the river Rio del Espiritu Santo, but tribes along its length called it variations of "Mississippi", meaning "Great River" in the Algonquian languages.
On May 17, 1673, Jolliet and Marquette departed from St. Ignace, Michigan, with two canoes and five other voyageurs of French-Indian ancestry. The group sailed to Green Bay. They then paddled upstream (southward) on the Fox River to the site now known as Portage, Wisconsin. There, they portaged a distance of slightly less than two miles through marsh and oak forest to the Wisconsin River. Europeans eventually built a trading post at that shortest convenient portage between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins. On June 17, the canoeists ventured onto the Mississippi River near present-day Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
The Jolliet-Marquette expedition paddled along the west bank of the Mississippi until mid-July. When they passed the mouth of the Arkansas River, they became satisfied that they had established that the Mississippi flowed into the Gulf of Mexico. By this point, they had encountered natives carrying European goods and worried about a possible hostile encounter with explorers or colonists from Spain. The voyageurs then followed the Mississippi back to the mouth of the Illinois River, which friendly natives told them was a shorter route back to the Great Lakes. Following the Illinois river upstream, they then turned up its tributary the Des Plaines River near modern-day Joliet, Illinois. They then continued up the Des Plaines River and portaged their canoes and gear at the Chicago Portage. They then followed the Chicago River downstream until they reached Lake Michigan near the location of modern-day Chicago. Father Marquette stayed at the mission of St. Francis Xavier at the southern end of Green Bay, which they reached in August. Jolliet returned to Quebec to relate the news of their discoveries. On his way through the Lachine Rapids, Jolliet's canoe overturned and his records were lost. His brief narrative, written from memory, is in essential agreement with Marquette's, the chief account of the journey.

Each egg sac contains 25 to 600 bright orange eggs, with an average of 200 eggs. Eggs require 11 to 16 days to hatch, depending on air temperature.
17-september-2021: the transparency of the air enhances tones and contrasts and it is a rather frequent situation in late summer and autumn once the main cold front has passed.
The weather improves almost everywhere with the fresh and dry air following the front, but the sea still releases considerable heat, stored during the summer, and this creates contrast with the new colder air, generating showers and local thunderstorms from the Gulf of Trieste to Istria/Istra peninsula.
Stones and driftwood near the shore on this beautiful place at Mazinaw lake with reflections on the water of Mazinaw Rock with it’s pictographs and a lot of trees on it in Bon Echo Provincial park , on HWY. ON. 41 , Cloyne , Ontario , Canada , September 18. 2019
Mazinaw, named for an Algonquin word meaning “picture” or “writing” is the largest rock art site on the southern Canadian Shield and the only major pictograph site in southern Ontario.
Along the base of this cliff, more than 260 painted images or pictographs attest to the significance of this place and storytelling techniques of the Algonquin and other indigenous Peoples who created them. The red ochre images depict human and animal figures, as well as a remarkable number of abstract and geometric symbols. The Algonquin people of today remain proud of their ancestral link to this special place.”
