Sunrise at Herbert Lake, near Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Canada.
A bit of snowfall in mid September is not that unusual for Lake Louise, but it was nevertheless a little surprise. A very pleasant surprise, as the mountains looked great freshly snow-capped.

Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief splits the MP 774 semaphores south of Las Vegas, NM, while a plethora of sunflowers show off trackside. Normally blooming in mid-August after a summer of monsoon rains, drier conditions this year have seen later and smaller bunches of sunflowers than usual.
Plas Newydd, Llangollen.
Continuing up the staircase at Plas Newydd, looking at all the wood carvings in the panelling.
The Ladies of Llangollen collected wood carvings between 1780 and 1831, to give the appearance of an unique decorative effect.
