I've been meaning to shoot these sunflowers for a while and have been waiting for the light to be right, however they seem to be in the most awkward spot of the yard and never really get the light perfectly.
Bad for me and my camera, but good for the plants I guess. Luckily that didn't stop this little bee from visiting while I was out trying to figure out a shoot.
Since my model had arrived, I went ahead and shot a couple photos. This one was the sharpest of the bunch, and therefore the winner.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Early September marks the end of the Michigan Summer. The kids are back in school; the parks are less crowded, and the nights are starting to get colder.

"Sunset is still my favorite color, and rainbow is second." - Mattie Stepanek
------
Nothing too exciting for today's sweet Sunday; I had bought a few bags of Skittles last week while Sylvia was visiting in case I needed a quick prop.
Turned out I didn't need them last weekend so I saved them for this week. That and I was a little too lazy last weekend to sort out the colours to get the shot I wanted last Sunday but was a little more motivated today.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good day.

Thanks to Scott for supplying today's word of the day.
I was playing around with the camera at lunch hour and couldn't quite find the shot I was hoping for, so I turned the camera around and fired a couple quick self portraits when the wind decided I needed some hair in my face.
I liked how it turned out and even more so once I converted it to black and white. Although, I don't find I look like myself in this portrait.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Some Sedum Blooms, also known as stonecrops, captured with iPhone and Olloclip Macro Lens on campus earlier this month.
I love how our campus has so many spaces both large and small filled with plants of all varieties which bloom and bare thought out the year.
This image is part of a pretty good size patch of Sedum. The plant was loaded with small white flowers with pink trimmed edges and spots.
Edited on the iPad first in Snapseed then in Fotograf for black and white editing.

Long exposure, several flash moments...
It was 26 of September in 2014, exactly five years ago when I uploaded MOC in VK (Russian social network) which became a start of constant building process (around twelve MOCs a year) - Italian submicro van Piaggio Ape Classic. I've uploaded several MODs of existing sets for one and a half of year before, but it wasn't too often comparing with my current productivity. That's why I calling this date a beginning of my way as a LEGO builder.
To mark this, I made a collage including all my models for the last five years (except two of them which were lost in time) in a chronological S-like order from the down right corner (2014, September) up to the left corner (2019, August). Of course, I have some more completed digital creations awaiting for renders, a couple of real builds which are in need of a proper photo session, and two pretty large MOCs in process requiring a bit more time to be ready. I hope to release something from that list before the 2019 ends.
Also I want to say thanks to all the people who helps me with advice in MOCs improvement - it won't be possible without you to gain such a level of building in that time.
P.S Thanks Alice Dee for the translation!

September is not a long past.... Especially, when I rediscover my beloved creatures of our garden ! They are hibernating right now…. Spring is not far away, neither! I am stand-by with my camera…
September 2021 - Unseen 2021
Took my first trip to bolehill quarry after years of skirting around it on familiar paths in sepetmeber 2021. It looked to be a nice enough place, but I was not happy with any of the photos I took that day, The light was just wrong and I was in an awful mood by the time I got there.
Maybe I'll go back in better conditions some time, but not soon!
this is part of unseen 2021, my annual look back through the year via pictures that did not make it to Flickr the first time around
One from last September of some soft and golden light on the hills around Hayfield.
Looking at my photostream I realise I've been posting very little recently so I might delve into some more archive stuff.
Sunnier days back in 2018 and a wonderful blue sky. Something to look forward to.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

The story of this full Corn Moon is on EarthSky.com:
September 1-2, 2020 – presents the third and final full moon of our Northern Hemisphere summer (or Southern Hemisphere winter). That is, it’s the third of three full moons to fall between the June 20 solstice and September 22 equinox. Is it the Harvest Moon? No, but it’ll share some characteristics with that famously named moon. The Harvest Moon is the closest full moon to the autumn equinox. It’ll fall in 2020 on October 1 for us in the Northern Hemisphere.
Visit Sunrise Sunset Calendars to know the moonrise time, remembering to check the moonrise and moonset box.
Meanwhile, we in North America will call this September 1-2 full moon by the name Fruit Moon, Corn Moon, or Barley Moon.
The moon turns precisely full on September 2, 2020, at 05:22 UTC. At North American and U.S. time zones, that translates to September 2, at 2:22 a.m. ADT, 1:22 a.m. EDT, 12:22 a.m. CDT – yet on September 1, at 11:22 p.m. MDT, 10:22 p.m. PDT, 9:22 p.m. AKDT and 7:22 p.m. HST.
