Mimosa pudica, Sensitive Plant

"Sensitive Research" is the cornerstone of my interactive art collection. And by "cornerstone", I mean that I have no other interactive art (yet). But even if I did, this would still be the highlight. It has a spinning lemon, people.

"Sensitive Research" was a gift of the artist, Ranjit Bhatnagar.

Here's the same vine after a disturbance such as that caused by a plant-feeding animal. It may fool the animal into thinking it's dead, or it may just expose its sharp thorns. This plant doesn't move as fast as the better-known M. pudica, which is tropical.

I was given some light sensitive printing paper and so I did these designs with the things I found on the beach whilst beach combing so rewarding seeing the end results
