The work is based on the theme of turbulance and consists of 6 white pre-cast concrete elements, installed in a prominant park. The concrete elements feature laser cut stainless steel panels covering one side of the sculpture, and on the top third of the other side.
The pattern on the stainless steel is based on the fluid dynamics of turbulence and in particular on the turbulance of air that is breathed in and out.
The work was commissioned by the Sunland Group in 2006, and donated to the Wyndham City Council in 2007, for inclusion in the community public art collection. - W.C.C. Information Sheet.
I don't like the way that the rain has acted with the airborne dust, and formed vertical streaks down the work.
