Experiments with my scanner, I bought some small plastic spinners and one blue wooden one - 50p each from my local toyshop. To keep the light out I balanced a piece of black card onto two small Coke bottles which were positioned one each end of the glass on the scanner and just set the scanner to scan the mid-section (although for future ref. the bottle bases looked interesting when I scanned them!). I increased the blackness of the black to make it more even as some light got in through the sides.

(BottleBubbles001c) This is the condensation in a plastic water bottle. Not taken with a camera but by placing the bottle on a scanner.

Oil paint on monoprint plate. This piece is easily one of my favourites because i drew inspiration to paint simply by looking at the monoprint plate, I discovered it while experimenting with monoprints. Luckily at that same time I had it in mind to make a painting of my classmate who placed her face against the scanner and printed it.
