Experimenting with Scanner Photography. Not terribly original, it turns out. The first time I ever used a scanner, back in the 80's one of the first things I did was scan my face. I thought of doing this to do still lifes, and grabbed some flowers from the yard. Immediately afterward, I did a google. and I came up with a ton of flowers done on scanners.....

The white flower is a Mock Orange. Not sure about the yellow.

this scanner can scan a roll of 36 exposure film in less than a minute. now we're having to use the epson 700 flatbed scanner which takes nearly half an hour to do the smae job.

My scanner is pissing me off - its incapable of capturing the contrast in this work-in-progress as evidenced here.

Any scanner replacement recommendations? I have a Canon Lide something-or-other now.
