If you are in California and can attend the San Diego Water Board meeting on March 16th come earlier than 9a.m. and sign this petition now if you haven't before. This swallow miscalculated instead of flying one inch above the pool at 60mph ended up in the pool. Well no one drowns in the pool on my watch, when you are down on your luck you need a helping hand. I got him out and put the poor debraggled fellow in the sun to dry off for a while. Later moved him to the shade as dehydration is a real problem if you are this small. He was weak and in a bad way, but he had spirit and just a little help from me. Then the next day he was off without so much as a thank you. Ah well that's life, you have to help because that it what you've got to do, not because you want thanks.....

Every time i've come by this monumental tree with a camera, the neighbor makes some comment about cutting the thing down. Truly, my heart saddens with his desire and it pushes me to take more photos of it. But what good are these photos without the tree?
