Not an easy life... Here you have an idea how well they swim in a though environment. Today we celebrate the Day of the Jaguar. An amazing and endangered species. Save the jaguar!

I made a number of mistakes in taking this image but I think I managed to save it. I must be out of practice. Sunset on the coastline of the Moray Firth from Findochty.
SAVE THE EAGLES DAY
Each year on January 10th, Save the Eagles Day reminds us of the majestic raptors that soar above the Earth – whether they’re well populated or endangered. Due to the work of scientists and the public, the bald eagle was removed from this list in June 2007. Poaching, pesticides, and other dangers continue to threaten eagle populations.
While the day started as a way to save a specific pair of bald eagles and to raise awareness about the species, the observance has grown to encompass all species of eagles. Approximately species of eagles populate the world. Most of the species are found in Eurasia and Africa. North, Central, and South America and Australia only account for about 14 species. However, no eagles are found in Hawaii. The most common species in North America are the bald and golden eagles.
Eagles are powerful birds of prey. An eagle’s sharp sense of sight paired with powerful muscles, piercing talons, and beak, make them primed for the hunt. They are also monogamous, mating for life.

Tau Emerald Dragonfly (Hemicordulia tau)
As I was walking past Al's garden on the way to Bill's I spotted this Tau Emerald hanging off a leaf of the Liquidamber Tree at a strange angle. Closer inspection showed it was caught in a web. I took another leaf and was able to free it from the web but it had a wing at a strange angle and a damaged leg. I put the leaf on the lawn and took a photo then stepped back to see if it was okay. After about four minutes it flew off.
Gorgeous new Belleza applier has me out of hiding. Plus - I needed a distraction.

Might have been better to invest in habitat preservation for all Polar Bears, rather than saving a few in zoos.
Nonetheless, I was happy to have the opportunity to see this one here, since I am never going to see a wild one.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

This poor old lens very nearly went in the bin. It had fungus and dust throughout and looked pretty much beyond help.
But what better place to start learning to clean lenses? A few hours & some head scratching later it's back in business... fungus free and clean as a bean.

In this era of instant internet news, you may ask why you should save your newspaper. There are two obvious reasons:
1. For house breaking a new puppy
2. To spread out on the table when eating crabs
Well, as you can see by this photo there is an obvious third reason that even I didn’t think of ... curtains.
You never know when you might need a quick set of curtains, which also provide excellent reading material, crosswords, sudoku and the like.

The so called Environmental Protection Agency continues to de-regulate toxic chemicals that will increase disease and death in Americans. Why? Because Trump cares more for the profit of billionaires than the people in this country. The man didn't even know Puerto Rico was part of America. He's a disgrace and he continues to enact policies that will harm and kill Americans.
