Andy and his eboard stopped for a photo on a perfect spring day for looping Lake Monona. I had crossed paths with Andy at an intersection earlier in my ride and was grateful to catch up with him at a more quintessentially Madison spot. As he was taking selfies, I asked if he'd like a photo by me and told him of my (608)strangers project and how I thought he'd make an excellent addition. He agreed and with only two clicks of the shutter, I had a keeper.

As I still run the traditional human powered bicycle (non ebike), I am with the majority of those who use the trails around town that oftentimes grow frustrated with reckless use of the path by a variety of electric transports, observing high speeds and passing without warning. While Andy uses an electric skateboard, from my observations and conversation with him he's definitely doing his part to erase that stigma with every interaction he makes. I made sure to let him know that I appreciate the effort, and only hope that more can follow his suit.

Be sure to take a look at the 100 strangers group here on Flickr for more inspiration from across the globe.

Sasha Says: Safety first, kiddies -- don't let this happen to you!

I was preparing Konata for a photo shoot outing and her expression and situation just reminded me of that slogan I had seen printed on dry clean plastic bags and such since I was a kid. I guess even those cool figma bags can be dangerous.

Epilogue: Happily, this did not end in tragedy and Konata emerged from the bag unscathed. Said she had once seen something about Shao-lin monks slowing down their breathing on some anime show. Clever girl.

A "shoot while driving" -shot from couple days ago.

I grabbed my camera and took this shot while I was driving home from the office. It was snowing and the traffic jam was terrible. The road was icy and the weather was pretty damn bad so this wasn't propably the wisest thing to do... :D
