We're holding an open call for SLAPS and POSTERS for the upcoming sticker show SLAPOCALYPSE 2012 - we'll be holding this in April and again in December if the world is still standing... start sending your slaps now! we love Vinyls / Hand Drawns / Screenprints / USPS / Foreign slaps / Handstyles / Characters ? etc. . .

The name of Atco is better known amongst keen gardeners who appreciate first-class lawnmowers. In 1939 the makers of Atco motor mowers (Charles H Pugh Ltd of Birmingham, now part of the Atco Qualcast Bosch Group) built around 500 of these miniature cars using 98cc Villiers two-stroke engines of the type normally found in their mowers.
At £35 each, Atco hoped to sell the cars to education authorities and conscientious parents as a training vehicle for children over the age of six, with the aim of improving standards of road safety and reducing the number of accidents.
Very much a real car scaled down, the Atco Junior incorporporated every feature necessary for training, including proper hand and foot brake controls, forward and reverse gears, and Ackermann steering. There was, however, no electrical equipment or suspension except for the pneumatic Dunlop tyres. Top speed was 10mph.
The standard colour scheme was lawnmower green, with red upholstery and black wings and wheels. Although the idea behind the Atco Junior was promising, the vehicle was not put back into production after the Second World War.
