The larger team movements of a dragon dance differ from the smaller, more playful motions of a two-person lion dance. Unlike a Western dragon that brings mayhem, a Chinese dragon is a good thing. As a leader at the top of the chain, a dragon drives away lesser evil forces. That retains good fortune and a safe haven for a community.
One more thing. The powerful dragon represented the imperial power of the Emporer, a centralized power of immense proportion, whose privileged purpose was to bring protection, stability, and prosperity to China's folks.

Seen on route 24 outside the Safe Harbour Hotel in Fowey.
The Safe Harbour Hotel has seen some controversy in recent years as, due to collisions, Go Cornwall Bus have withdrawn from the terminus, using Hanson Drive to turn instead. As far as I know, First Kernow continue to use it on route 24.
Have no fear, for when I'm alone
I'll be better off than I was before
I've got this light
I'll be around to grow
Who I was before
I cannot recall
Long nights allow me to feel I'm falling, I am falling
The lights go out
Let me feel I'm falling, I am falling
Safely to the ground
This picture has been taken in the streets of downtown Orlando when i was there for work.
One night, after a few beers, My colleague and i decided to go on a small walk to explore the neighborhood around the hotel.
I came up with the idea to make a few photo's of him standing in random places on the street, just for fun.
The idea was to make him just a silhouette on different locations so it would make the darkness stand out more.
This one was one of the nicest due to the light and i decided to make it rather more a movie still than a picture.
Hope you guys like it!
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight...
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe & sound...
Có quá nhiều thứ biến chuyển xoay quanh nên tạm thời không muốn ai nhìn thấy, nhắc tới. Một thời gian dài có thể bạn không thể nhìn thấy tôi nữa. Tạm biệt ...
I had to laugh when someone announced that the "Monark of the Sea" was pulling into the harbor, and I looked up to see this tiny homemade boat silently making its way towards its boat slip. From the name; I was expecting a huge fishing vessel loaded with nets. While it did have a hand net - I did not see any fish aboard, and the young couple looked just a tiny bit disgruntled.
Graphite 6B pencil on Bristol. Drawing is the means by which I explore a subject for its components, and its pull on my inner needs for expression. This was done in Polperro, Devon, England.
Embracing the tranquil beauty of this morning with a warm cup of lemon ginger tea. Savoring each peaceful moment and wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead. Stay safe, stay warm. 🍋
What a lovely week it's been, with plenty of warm sunshine, but the beginning of those glorious autumnal colours.

From 10:00 p.m. the courtyard is deserted.
I closed it off by #Lightpainting with a virtual "curtain".😉

I know, the title might seem weird, but for some reason that's the song that inspired this photo and the feeling portrayed in this, together with the Hunger Games series.
And oh my god it was so incredibly cold. But worth it, I still love this photo a lot.
Pictures from a popular safe driving initiative held on the campus. Students had the opportunity to take the wheel of a Mini simulator, underlining the hazards caused by under-inflated tyres.
Since I was quite late for the Sunday's theme Fauna, I decided to post it today! Have a great week all! ❤

Some street photography in Grosseto..... in golden light... what a pleasure to get such scenes.
To be true, I would prefer this shot without the Corona mask.
Ventnor Haven providing a little shelter from the storm. This was on the edge of a massive storm which developed yesterday in the Bay of Biscay. It travelled up through France reaching Jersey at around 7pm, and then abruptly turned right, and headed into the English Channel. At one point, it registered over 27,000 strikes in an hour. This is a single shot taken using a Nikon D7100, Samyang 16mm f/2.

Everyone has a kid safe horse, and I’m no exception. Anytime guests come to the farm and want to ride, Ham quickly becomes the first choice. You can ride him anywhere and he does not mind at all. I picked up Ham at a local horse sale. He was a spare work horse and the ranch was downsizing. I hadn’t expected this beefy boy to have a natural talent for Western Pleasure. His gaits are so very smooth. He’s not the fastest horse at western games, but he always tries his hardest.
I plan to offer Ham as my contribution to the charity auction this winter. He would make a great first show horse for someone or a wonderful family companion. He trailers great, rides English and Western, can pull buckboard and is beyond patient!
