These are some of the orphans who are being raised at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Nairobi Nursery. The nursery is where the orphaned baby elephants are initially brought to be raised among other orphans as well as by their amazing keepers. They remain in the nursery until they are old enough and ready to move up to one of the Reintegration units where they will eventually return to the wild. The SWT has a wonderful foster program where you can "adopt" an orphan (or two) www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/

When I was growing up in Eastern PA, I never saw bald eagles. I had to wait until I was in Washington State to see my first wild one in person. While this picture is not spectacular, what makes it spectacular to me is that I took it...and I took it one mile from my house!
