On Sunday I make make some variety of pasta and sauce, like my mother did and my grandmother before her. Today it is cheese Ravioli and my version of Arrabbiata sauce. Arrabbiata in Italian means angry but in this case it means spicy hot. Besides plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, basil, and oregano there is also a generous amount of red pepper.

Sunday Brunches are a treat. It is the perfect way to end a morning weekend just before we go back to our usual breakfast routine of low fat yogurt, cereals and fruits.
So today we had poached eggs (my very first attempt to make one!). Then I fried some left over bacon. As soon as the bacon were done, I sautéed the onions, fresh button mushrooms and spinach (purchased from the weekend market yesterday) in butter and bacon fat. When the spinach wilted, I sprinkled a little salt and pepper and placed everything on top of a slice of toast followed by the bacon and then the poached egg. :)
For my almost 9yr old daughter. This will be her school uniform skirt for the coming year. I made it bigger in the width, and the length. I added a box pleat at the front and full length at the back. I made the waistband a bit deeper too, just for a bit of extra comfort.
The main fabric is nasty polyester, but the hem facing, pocket facing and waistband are all cotton.
The side seams are a little wobbley, because I topstitched them.
Also I had to bring the elastic a bit further around the front to take up some of the gathering, and not have it all at the back, this fabric is quite heavy.
