Another one for Guess Where UK
The steps leading to Whitby Abbey - where God would live if he had to be earthbound!
This one won't take long but it's a lovely place and I want to air it!
When I started editing this picture I had no idea what I wanted to do. I just tried out different options and after I gone wild a bit the picture actually started to look really nice. Than I did the fine stuff and here we go :). Unfortunately its a bit crooked. I already fixed it a bit but no chance to get it better, well for me ;).
This is an escalator in the Underground station from Copenhagen.
- Weil mich die einfach quadratische Treppe im Treppenhaus meiner Firma langweilte, blies ich eine Seele in sie! :-)
- Because the simple quadratic stairs in my company-staircase were boring, I blow a soul in it!
Maybe you call it "adding pizzazz" :-)

Interesting wave pattern on the sea - there was a big storm off-shore the night before.

Detail from early 20th century stained glass from St Elvan's parish church, Aberdare. This shows the Old Testament story of Jacob's Ladder - popularly known as the "Stairway to Heaven". It was dedicated in 1911 to Thomas and Anne Wayne. There is a marvellous sense of movement depicted here, with angels descending on the left and rising to heaven on the right.

The description of Jacob's ladder appears in the Book of Genesis (28:11–19):
Jacob left Beersheba, and went toward Haran. He came to the place and stayed there that night, because the sun had set. A professional at avoiding crowds. Looking himself in the eye in a mirror is about as close as he gets to interacting with strangers.
They tried to suffocate him, he found a secret forest to breathe in.
the way he stands tall with the wounds.
the way he believes there's someone out there willing to gaze at the stars with him. Where-ever you are, I want you to be desperate enough to touch me with words.
In this Life, time stopped still in so many moments and this is just another attempt to stitch all of them together.
There was a time when he wanted everyone's attention but then came a phase when he started spending time with himself. Now he loves being ignored.

Beautiful Muir Beach, California.
Muir Beach is a quiet California beach with beautiful trails, and amazing ocean views. Our planet is so beautiful, and this little piece of it is absolutely breathtaking in person. The stairs photographed here were near the edge of the bluff. I love how mysterious it looks at the top of the bluff. I shot it in a way to make people curious about what's on the other side.
I shot this one with my Nikon after exploring the oceanfront. I shot HDR for this one.
