There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
Led Zeppelin
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.

So somebody wanted to now the idea behind this photograph, and it's simpy that I'm going into the light. Positive shots and thoughts and all of which that entails. So hopefully my next photoshoot (when wiII that be? hmm...) woun't be as dark and melancoic as this one. And that's why i "needed" the gradient thingy. An "open" door in my eyes!

maybe the most interesting design for a staircase in a restaurant leading to the bathroom i recently enjoyed! the whole interior design in villa capri, a beautiful and very good italian restaurant in the district of justicia, is worth a visit.

I'm using this photo to officially announce my new blog. I've mentioned it a briefly in previous posts, but now it is really up and running. It will feature before and afters of my photos, tutorials (soon), and weekly interviews with artists I find inspirational. This week I interviewed one of my flickr favorites, Midnight-Digital, and next week I will interview the incomparable Solea, so be sure to check back.
Jacob's Ladder is actually the real name of this staircase that scales an enormous hill in my hometown. I used three images that I captured to create this (check out before and afters) and the lighting was inspired by the aforementioned, Midnight-Digital.
Hatton locks known as the "Stairway to Heaven". In the distance is St Mary's Church Warwick which I have been up on a brighter day than today.
I was snapping around the interior of the hotel on my way home after going to the gym.
Just before i opened the door to the mall, i turned around and saw this great2 angle.
I quickly composed this shot and just before i took the shot i heard somebody opened the door behind me.
Then i saw this beautiful 'ang moh' wearing a bright green shirt. She said, 'excuse me..'
Of course i smiled and let her walk through and snapped her happily ever after....
And yes, back to my old habit snapping somebody from the back :)
The Breitach is a mountain river and the southwestern (left) source of the Iller in the Allgäuer Alps, in the states Vorarlberg (Austria) and Bavaria (Germany).
At the Walserschanze, the Austrian-German border, the Breitach reaches German territory and curves through the narrow Breitachklamm.
Some of you might know or have visited this famous shrine in Kyoto. Last November I visited this place for the first time and climbed to the top of the mountain (233m). These stone steps were the last ones to the top. I was almost dead with my heavy camera bag and tripod. Moreover, I got to run back down to the foot of the mountain to catch my revserved Shinkansen. It was terrible, but fun!

Stairway to Heaven, one of the most well known rock classics. Like many, I've pondered the meaning of it's lyrics and finally realized it's not about materialism or religion it's really about shallow depth of field!

Walk with me to heaven on the golden ladder at the Forum shopping center in Duisburg. I first saw this special work of art by Johannes Brunner and Raimund Ritz looming in the center of Duisburg in 2019. It is a real landmark and is visible from a great distance. I looked at it from several angles and was really impressed. The sculpture is made of 32 tonnes of steel covered with 24-karat gold leaf. The ladder already starts on the floor of the shopping center and protrudes about 35 meters above the roof.

Ooh, it makes me wonder.
