While chasing the fog around Malibu Creek State Park one morning, I found myself facing a spectre, specifically my brocken spectre. Named after Brocken, a peak in the Harz Mountains of Germany where the phenomenon is common, the spectre appears when your shadow is cast into fog or in clouds. I had noticed a fog bow, and when I ran over to the ridge I also met my shadow extending into the fog, confusing my brain’s depth perception, which is one of the fun characteristics of these. Surrounding the spectre are glory rings which are similar to a rainbow but smaller and at the center. In a wide view a large fog bow encircles the brocken spectre and glory rings. It’s fun to run around and wave your arms while observing this. The moment wasn’t to last though, as the fog drifted further down into the valley and the fog bow and spectre disappeared.
The Spectre, is one of the strongest characters in DC universe, and one of my favorite customs I made until this point.
The base is a skeleton, and I was thinking to cover it with a little bit of flesh, but I wanted something different, to be honest the look of the original character is quite plain. The hood is from Hawkeye, head from Batman, cape from Misteryo, and because it has a gap, at the back that I didn't like, same like in my Superman custom, I covered it. The gloves are from Iron man(right) and Thanos (left). At the end I painted everything in green, and maybe later I will add the Spear of Destiny, the only weapon that can destroy him.
For now I am almost finished with Beta Ray Bill, Batman Beyond and Killer Croc, that was actually finished, but I wanted more the look from Batman Arkham Asylum.
This in my take on a character, trying to keep it close to the original, but adding things to make it more personal and unique.
I hope you like it.
Stay tuned, more will come :)
Seconds after the previously uploaded shot, breaks in the clouds appeared and let the sun shine through - resulting in my first proper experience of a Brocken spectre. Pretty mindblowing!

The beautiful Queen hardly noticed the life of luxury and the servants around her as she lounged and contemplated on her next powerful move. Her mind was working overtime as the wheels in her head kept turning on how to use her exotic beauty and powers of seduction to get what she wants. Queen Cleopatra of Egypt wanted nothing less than the world and she will seduce legions of armies to fulfill her every need.

I will be at that table in the cafe where we first met. I will be there every day, every moment. Just hanging out with the living, and wishing so very much I could taste one last time a hot foamy latte.
i tried numerous heads and different ideas, but i chose this one. I really like it and i just couldn't bare to change anything.
I once saw Mark's R45 at a distance of about 1/4 mile and it stood out like little else on the road, in much the same was as it stands out here.
For this shot the car was lit with flash to try and overcome the local ambient light; meanwhile the graffiti on the doors was lightpainted with a torch to lift it from the background.
You can see it had been raining but within a few minutes the sky cleared and remained cloudless for the rest of the night.

Video chat time again with a lovely friend... this week's theme was sci-fi, and I went with Silk Spectre from Watchmen. Hadn't worn this outfit for a while, so it had seen better days, but hopefully it all worked!
I can categorically announce that I haven't been drinking - and I wasn't seeing things that were not there!
A weird phenomenon with light trickery above the clouds or mist. The sun has to be directly behind you for this hence why I wasn't seeing it in the compositions that I really wanted up there on the Tor.
I was blessed with a couple of really nice images and light while up there so can count my lucky stars I took the decision to head out there, the resulting pain was kind of worth it for the next few days, I am in fact still recovering my knees are still on fire with "tourniquets" tied tight below them.
At least I know I wasn't seeing things up there!
Brocken Spectre, or Glory, over Whiteley, Hampshire. See these quite often, but this is the first time I've got a reasonable photo . . .

I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in a starfighter telephone game run by some awesome builders. Big thanks to them!
This is the 7th and penultimate build in the series. This round had an added twist of keeping to a consistent color scheme as well as the usual challenge of taking inspiration from the shape of the previous. Other builders tagged below:
1. Evader
3.Perseus
4. Sailer
5. Void Skipper
6. Boar
7. Spectre
8. Beyonder
Joel built the previous starfighter which gave me a square base to work from. I added some extra bits to extend it into a sort of stealth bomber inspired flying wing.

The town of Spectre was custom built for the Tim Burton-directed 2003 movie "Big Fish" on Jackson Lake Island, a small island on the Alabama River near Millbrook, Alabama
Strobist Info: Nikon SB-700 @ 1/2 power - camera right and Yongnuo YN560-II @ 1/2 power - camera left. The SB-700 was fired via Nikon CLS, and the YN560-II was in slave mode.
Born of the late Roaring Twenties, this luxe touring coupe wore the nameplate “Spectre” in reference to its shadowed face, save for two gleaming gold headlamp “eyes.” A luxury vehicle in every sense, it possessed power and poshness in equal measure.
