You look like you have seen a vengeful ghost

Somewhere beneath the streets of Southwark, a dark figure stalks the tunnels....

Was looking at an old slide of Golden Spectre on the slip at Lossie in July '92 when I noticed the Belfast registration. How did this turn up here for work? Seems the boat was built by John Watt and Sons in Banff around 1961 but I can't recall it actually fishing from Lossie. Interestingly Golden Spectre still exists in Maldon, Essex but no longer fishes.

now the gloves are er.... on!

Probably not ,😈👅

This'll be the last bio for now. That's the society finished, so the next Overlord-verse thing you see will be the epilogue/last chapter for this series. I won't lie, I have no idea how this guys bio will go, as I'm a bit hazy on his background. As always, lemme know what you think :D

Spectre

In 1942, hard-boiled cop Jim Corrigan was brutally murdered by thugs, alongside his fiancee Clarice, whilst on their way to their engagement party. The thugs bundled their two victims into a barrel, filled it with cement, and threw it into a nearby river. Their spirits ascended to heaven. Whilst there was no problems with Clarices spirit entering heaven, Jims was refused entry, and flung back down to Earth.

Guided by an entity known only as 'the voice', Jim became the spectre, spirit of vengeance. Transforming into the pale, cloaked figure of the Spectre, Jim hunted down and brutally murdered his attackers. Once he had done so, he found the barrel that he and his fiancees bodies had been stowed. He dragged up the barrel, and opened it, releasing the bodies onto the riverbed, where he left them to be found by the authorities. At least this way, his darling Clarice could receive a proper burial.

And so, guided by the voice, the Spectre dealt justice to all who deserved it. In 1952, he was approached by the then fledgling 'Justice society of America', who asked him to join their ranks. Being a spirit who dealt out justice, he accepted, and joined the team.

However, as the years went by, Jim Corrigan felt as though the society were not doing enough. Crime rates in America were still extraordinarily high, not helped by the supervillains the sciety members had inadvertently created. In 1964, the Spectre left the society, and faded away, becoming an invisible force, an avenging, undead, spirit. It is unknown if the Spectre will return, and even if he still lives.

The Ghosts are in the Water...

So I've been inspired by shots on Flickr and my love of horror and creepy and have decided to create a bit of a nightmare series

5secs of fame tonight on the Granada weather report. Turns out it was 2 phenomenas in 1. A fog bow plus a brocken spectre.

I don't live in Colne either! Don't know where they had that from!

Taken from Wikipedia: A Brocken spectre, also called Brocken bow or mountain spectre, is the apparently enormous and magnified shadow of an observer, cast upon the surfaces of clouds opposite the sun. The head of the figure is often surrounded by the glowing halo-like rings of a glory—rings of coloured light that appear directly opposite the sun when sunlight meets a cloud of uniformly-sized water droplets.

A rather spooky multiple exposure from nearby Whitby Abbey featuring a ghostly figure walking across the frame...

Dicen que los fantasmas pueden verse en el mar justo antes de que se ponga el sol. - It is said that ghosts can be seen in the sea just before the sun goes down.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If you've seen one of these before, chances are it's this one. With only two built, it's pretty high on the list of low volume production cars, although its predecessor, the R42, exists in limited numbers.

A prototype successor to this R45 also exists but has yet to be seen. Notice I said "yet" :)
