Feeding on insects and other spiders, Pholcus phalangioides is a common sight within the home - nevertheless a fascinating and beautiful spider.
If it is disturbed or threatened in any way, it responds by setting up a very fast, spinning motion and becoming a blur. This makes it difficult for a potential predator to focus and hone in on.

"Un spectre de Brocken ou spectre du Brocken (en allemand Brockengespenst) est l'ombre considérablement agrandie d'un objet, observée d'un sommet montagneux dans la direction opposée au soleil, sur un nuage de gouttelettes d'eau ou sur du brouillard. Elle est parfois entourée d'un cercle lumineux. Si ce dernier est coloré comme un arc-en-ciel, il s'agit alors d'une gloire (anthélie). "
I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in a starfighter telephone game run by some awesome builders. Big thanks to them!
This is the 7th and penultimate build in the series. This round had an added twist of keeping to a consistent color scheme as well as the usual challenge of taking inspiration from the shape of the previous. Other builders tagged below:
1. Evader
3.Perseus
4. Sailer
5. Void Skipper
6. Boar
7. Spectre
8. Beyonder
Joel built the previous starfighter which gave me a square base to work from. I added some extra bits to extend it into a sort of stealth bomber inspired flying wing.

Ever since I got the Queen Anne's Revenge, which was almost 10 years ago, I've been wanting to build a dark brown hulled ship. I had to wait for various plates and slopes to become available in this former rare colour. Now I have plenty… Some dark brown jumpers would have made my life a whole lot easier though…
She's a barque although I did not fit any square sails, these might come later.
This could very well be my 50th ship although I can't be sure because I lost my archive when Mocpages.com went down.
At full capacity she runs 24 guns, a series of 12-pounders on the main deck and a few 3-pound swivel guns on the quarter.
Something that may catch your attention, or better yet, not at all, is that she's not all that fancy. No galleries or ornaments and a pretty dull colour scheme. Yep, ships like that existed too and they were much greater in number. One might get the wrong impression that the fancy, decorated warship was the common one, looking to MOC ships.
My main sources of inspiration where the Lady Washington and HMS Bounty.
Some of the highlights include zip line handles and Harry Potter wands used in the rigging.
I’m glad I finally got this thing posted, I was beginning to think that I was going to be stuck in lost WIPs and unfinished creations forever.
I've posted a couple more pictures at Eurobricks.

I was out on the town visiting some of the old buildings in the old part of downtown Oklahoma City when I came across this building. It had been deserted for a long time as they had removed the door handles and bolted the doors shut. I loved the way the lobby look so I cleaned the dust off the glass as best I could and took a snap shot.
I didn't discover that I caught something until I got home and downloaded it. Yes folks, this is how it came out, I did not use Photoshop or anything. Now I know that it is a reflection from the glass but it sure does look cool. One of those accidents that works out good! Hey I never said I was a photographer, I just own a camera like the man said!
Cant say ive ever seen a good defined Brocken Spectre of myself, I nearly got one last year from Hitter Hill looking over to Parkhouse, so this is defiantly my best to-date.
