9H-AEO A320 AMC LHR EGLL SPECIAL

Buick Special, circa model year 1955

A special world for you and me

A special bond one cannot see

It wraps us up in its cocoon

And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold

Gently nestling us to the fold

Like silken thread it holds us fast

Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break

A new one forms in its wake

To bind us closer and keep us strong

In a special world, where we belong.

She is pregnant by the way, not sure how obvious that is.

We received orders to take care of ( kill ) a HVT ( High Value Target ) in northern Syria. Just as we were setting up a group of insurgents came marching by, we countinued setting upo hoping they would leave. But then one pearled through the window and saw us, but then received a large bullet hole in his head. Two other insurgents then came running toward the window, one with an AK and one with an RPG. So then we killed them as well but we made a lot of noise with all the gunfire, so we packed up and asked for a extraction site. --- Lt. James Marshal US Special Forces.

Sunday 22nd November 1981. Railway enthusiasts congregated at Paddington on this evening because word had got around that the 19:00 service to Manchester was to be diverted via the Bletchley flyover, and that the train would be worked by a Class 50 locomotive. Back then, the section between Oxford North Junction and Bicester was for freight only, and the entire route from Oxford to Bletchley was rarely traversed by passenger trains. I have few memories of the journey itself and by this time my records were starting to become sketchy. No. 50035 Ark Royal did the honours, and there was probably excessive bellowing from the assembled gricers as the train passed the amusingly-named settlement of Marsh Gibbon. I left the train at Birmingham New Street, a distance of 161 miles from Paddington according to my mileage book.

moment on a special day

if the night is the deepest

the new day starts

Do you have a Special place? You know, the place where you feel free, you feel peace.. healing, happiness..? Where all your problems disappear while you're there..? Do you..? For such a long time I didn't realised that Hill of Crosses was the Special place for me..

When I was in Lithuania about a month ago, I didn't have a car to travel around by myself and so I didn't manage to have a full photoshoot at the Hill of Crosses. However, I've had a chance to spend approx 12minutes there and have a walk around with my mum and big sister. It was really windy and raining, and we were in a hurry to get somewhere. When I took my jacket off and asked my sister to take a few photos of me. She gave a sort of smile that says 'yeah, you are crazy about your photos..It's freezing!'

Also, have I ever introduced you to Andrius Mamontovas? I grew up listening to his songs. ;) [Just type into youtube and have a listen]

An R32 train (Budd, 1964-1965) signed for the (N) approaches Astoria Blvd, running a special train for the filming of a movie. This action brought lots of railfans out to the Astoria Line to see these cars that were retired in early fall of this year. Before their retirement, they predominantly ran on the J/Z service, so the opportunity to catch them on the (N) was too good to pass up! I still haven't been able to time it right with an Amtrak over the top though...
