Last X'mas was really special. Coupled with a rainy day, there was really no one at the mall. There were some X'mas decoraions. Other than those, you really could have a whole place to yourself. I took this shot shortly after a storm to test out my Voigtlander wide angle on the Contax IIa rangefinder.

Taken with my new point & shoot, which not only did I manage to get as a birthday gift, I managed to get it early ;-) This was from a group of my first shots, and might have been sooc, had I not tweaked the settings and underexposed it...
More like "Protective Delivery". The pink box may not seem like much but he probably waited an hour to buy it, so, with such a time investment one can understand his concern. Do you see the look of suspicion? Now if he can safely get to his car unmolested with box intact. =)

Having been launched in a special livery a few days prior to the photo being taken, this Pulsar is seen having a rest day in the depot.
Arriva Midlands North's FL63 DXM (3780) is seen posing for a photo in the depot. Photo taken with permission during a tour of the depot. It is very dirty due to poor weather conditions adding to road filth, and due to low termperatures, the bus wash wasn't working. The Pulsar wears a special livery to commemorate 50 years of Telford (its golden anniversary). It has been done in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council. FL63DXM was new in January 2014 to Arriva Midlands' Telford depot for use on Wrekin Connect 481 (Telford-Stafford). It has spent all of its service life at Telford, but was debranded from the 481. It is a VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2.
A special treat at this years airshow was the Heritage Flight with Canadian Warplane Heritage's Avro Lancaster, one of only two still flying in the world, and the CF18 of the Canadian Armed Forces, which is painted to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of NORAD.

The first CM&N Shippers Special is ready to depart Pearl Street for a trip out to Monroe and back.
GM Chuck Wiesner has brought down his Soo Line diner-lounge 2017 from Mid-Continent for the trip and Father Tom Brady's ex-IC Business Car 7, now the CM&N "Doonin" makes up the train pulled by the ex-C&O SW-7 switcher 202.
Sadly, the "Can't Move Nothing" will become a fallen flag in less than nine months and it will take another two owners and 12 years before the railroad itself will end up in the hands of the Wisconsin & Southern.
As for the equipment, the 2017 went back to Mid-Continent where she is still used on special events, the Doonin was sold to the museum in Monticello, IL and restored back to IC colors as business car 7 and sees occasional service there.
The 202 remains in this paint to this very day, albeit with the CM&N herald and lettering nicely patched out, on the Chicago-Chemung Railroad in Illinois!

The Chiltern Centenary Specials ran between London Marylebone and High Wycombe over the weekend of 1/2 April 2006. The train did three round trips top and tailed by 45690 and 48151.
This is one of the return runs passing through Whitehouse cutting at the edge of High Wycombe on the 2nd.
