Heart of a bovine tomato or Cœur de bœuf...
A beef tomato (popular English) is any of the largest varieties of cultivated tomatoes, some weighing 450 grams (0.99 lb) or more.
Most are pink or red with numerous small seed compartments (locules) distributed throughout the fruit, sometimes displaying pronounced ribbing similar to ancient pre-Columbian tomato cultivars.
Very meaty and fleshy with mouth-watering texture and flavour, this unusually shaped variety is one of our favourites.
Great for slicing and just superb used in Mediterranean type salads with mozzarella and olive oil. Yummy!
Enjoy playing with light, trying for that 'FLEMISH LGHT' the old masters were famous for.

A lovely surprise on my 50th today, this had been several months in the making by my incredibly patient and understanding girlfriend, and with no hint as to what it was when I unwrapped it this morning. Now to find a suitable frame to do it justice. I joked to her that I want another one when I eventually get my red Applause on the road - yes, I have changed my mind about keeping it as a spares car, and am looking for any assistance I can get as regards to getting it welded up - but the summary of the conversation basically amounted to this being a one-off in terms of sewing creations, which is kind of fitting for a car which has dwindled to single-figure survivors.

A neat little Harbor transfer job, complete with caboose, prepares to shove back toward Western Ave. with a freshly rebuilt Metra F40PH for delivery to their BI shops. Until seeing this, I never really put two and two together on how Metra's rebuilds got delivered.

The Buick Special was an automobile produced by the Buick Motor Division of General Motors, Flint, Michigan(USA). It was usually Buick's lowest-priced model, starting out as a full-size car in 1936 and returning in 1961 (after a two-year hiatus) as a mid-size.
1949-1957 Buick Specials had three VentiPorts while more senior Buicks, with the exception of the Buick Super(which switched from three to four in 1955), had four. Earlier versions had a "Sweepspear" inspired character line alongside the body, while later versions had the "Sweepspear" moulding attached to the side of all models. GM renamed the Buick Special the LeSabre for the 1959 model year, taking the name from the 1951 Le Sabre concept car.
By 1970, Special was no longer offered as a standalone model but the name would later be used for the entry trim on 1975 to 1979 and 1991 to 1996 Century models.
