My progress for the second week of Shiptember. It's been a tough week and I was stuck on the engine heat sinks for a while but I've made some decent progress.

I didn't include the head here since I've been focusing on the engines, rings and hull. Oh and everything's still white for now - I'll decide on a colour scheme closer to finishing.

A really cool cloud formation seen on the way to Galveston this morning. Kinda looks like an alien spaceship coming in for a landing

When shooting a photo that I’ve done before I always try to find a way to do it a bit differently or include a new element to give it a new spin. Otherwise, what’s the point in shooting the same shot again? Here I shot at an angle to include the moon which is an element I had not included with both the fountain and Spaceship Earth before.

The new HQ of MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission), with a really boring sunset haha.

I was scouting around Putrajaya for a new photography spot then I discovered this spot, sadly sunset was not impressive enough on that day, will definitely go back next time!

red/white spaceship V2

This is my weeks contribution to the Macro Mondays theme of “Member’s Choice: Games or Game Pieces" - Its a Rocket spaceship Game where you gently remove a stick trying to stop the spacemen falling...HMM

This question mark shaped spaceship is part of the continuing alphabet starfighter project I am working on with my 4 year old Star Wars obsessed son. We finished all the letters so now we are on to special characters and numbers.

After finishing the alphabet, I held a poll to see which special character to make next. Question mark won the poll by just two votes over ampersand! The curve is always the hardest part of tackling any of these ships. I pulled out the C-Wing to remind my self of a cool way to accomplish a curve. I used a similar technique of wedge plates to build a curve shape. I knew I had a lot of dark red wedges, so that was the first color. I like the combination of medium azure with dark red, but I don't have very much of that color left so I needed a third color to pull of the work of connecting the angles together - light grey (light bley) does that work for this ship. The connections are made on the outside spine of the ship because of the cockpit placement. While the play features are relatively simple on this ship with a rotating bottom gun turret, I am quite happy with how the ship balances with just two minor landing gear additions. This super fun build was completed in just two sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning - with help from Elliot of course!

If you liked this or any of the other ships be sure to follow along and check out the group starfighter shot for details on the #abcstarfightercontest There are several entries already, but I'd love to see more :)

This is a blend of three exposures using a luminosity mask and an inverted luminosity mask.

Seven of my photos have made it into Explore in the last three days... I guess people really like Disney.

Thank you for all the comments and faves =)

Spaceship Earth is one of the more approachable icons to shoot in the Walt Disney World Resort, especially at night, as the area around it is full of sweet little additions. It helps that Epcot tends to empty out immediately after IllumiNations, giving you time to wander around the World Showcase and eventually come back to Spaceship Earth's turf, which will almost definitely be empty.

The only thing I never seem to capture along with the attraction are the trains. It's like I forget they even exist until we're out of the park and I see one go by (or I'm queuing up to get on), and then it's too late or I'm too lazy to get back on the court.

That's what next time is for, right?

Lenticular Clouds in Iceland in October 2016

I was getting dizzy while editing this photo, the repetitive pattern can get hypnotizing.

At the time of the visit, only Taipei 101 was going to be larger than these, hehehe, 10 years later and there are buildings 200 meters higher.

Made in blender 2.66.

Rendered in Blender Internal.

The art-deco styles of the 1950's have always fascinated me. This was an era when style sold an automobile and these machines are truly works of art. This Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner is particularly unique because of its convertible hardtop that folds into its massive trunk in one piece.

In Germany we found this great ancient spaceship!

A moc from a few years ago that wasn't in my Flickr yet.

A twin-seat interceptor used by the Alliance Fleet as planetary escort and orbital patrol, Kestrel carries a deadly punch and is fast and agile.

Thanks to Nick Trotta (aka Tardisblue) for inspiration.

Some news: I'm planning several MOC's connected to mining in space. It can be called Astromining project. Here is the first one. Small starship with two pilots and many different mineral scaners. And the bad one: I've got some troubles with my PC so renders will be not so good for some time.
