The Port House is one of Antwerp’s architectural jewels. This funky and innovative building is the headquarters of the Antwerp Port Authority that accommodates over 500 employees. The striking and contemporary superstructure in the shape of a diamond is a monumental design of the famous Zaha Hadid Architects.
Technical note: The building is ~50m high, so I had to decide whether to retain the original shape of the building or avoid converging lines (not having access to a tilt-shift lens).
Berlins space architecture from the 60ies and 70ies is meant as contrast to the big blocky buildings from the old times.
Not really, it's just a building. But it sure looks like one to me :)
Thanks so much for looking, hope everyone is good!
Ottawa's downtown, unique Convention Centre, on the Rideau. And yes it's in the shape of a large, glass spacesip. Beautiful to see in person.

Known as "The Spaceship House," "The Hovercraft House," "The Bug House," or sometimes "OMG WTF is that?"
This incredible house was designed and built by local architect Bart Prince in 1983. There are a series of translucent water tubes on the top level which are part of a passive solar heating system. There are two spiral stairs which serve the upper area and connect it to the living room and studio.
Here's a short video showing some more of his amazing designs www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFR8uy9XJiE
The house is still privately owned by Bart Prince as a home and studio.

Kind of a Panorama, with bits and pieces from different photos. A composite is the word I think. Pretty amazing place, loved it, really worth it, and not the usual church.
Tallest church in the world, btw.
And now for something completely different - just in case you think, I'm only doing portraits... ;)
Btw: This spaceship is real and it's located in Singapore... :o)
"The shadow of my spaceship that is landing in a few minutes after a long journey traveling through Earth.", according to captain Ik.Nowit. (it was on the news this morning ;-))
A very lovely tarn a little ways beyond Chester Lake - it was just starting to ice over. A perfect Fall hike with Flickr friends, thanks Guys.
