Logan and Jude and I got to build Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!

Underneath Unikitty there's a little control room with an enclosed reactor that I really liked.

It also has some big spring-loaded darts that are hidden in the body and come out when you pull the wings outward. Very cool!

"You there! We're looking for the spaceship!"

"... The spaceship?"

Woops! Turns out, that's not what the local people call it. This is the House-Monument of the Bulgarian Communist Party also known as the Buzludzha Monument.

"The pharaoh dictates decrees which are copied onto scrolls by his scribe. The scribe (not pictured here) uses a simplified cursive form of hieroglyphics — a sort of ancient shorthand if you will. The hieroglyphics on the surrounding walls are authentic recreations from actual Egyptian structures".

My spaceship is in trouble, it developed a crack in the nuclear proton coagulator.

Affiliation: Jixnor Democracy

Manufacturer: Tronde Shipyards

Length/beam/draft: [scale???]

Armor/shield level: 2x 20ft of reflective metal on top and bottom/ Class 2

Sublight speed/lightspeed:

Range: 648 earth days

Crew: 232

Armament: 2x burst laser cannons in two turrets, 8x 3in laser cannons, 8x 32in Hinton laser cannons, and 24x 1in laser cannons.

The Febueln is a Fend-Class Heavy Frigate purchased by the Jixnor Democracy from the Trynin Empire as a military surplus vessel shortly after the First Piracy War. The Febueln is only one of two remaining Fend-Class Frigate (the other, the Fandorra currently serves with a private security force).

The Febueln was the last Fend-Class Heavy Frigate produced by Tronde Shipyards and thus the most technologically advanced. The Febueln and Fandorra are the only surviving ships of the Londre Incident do to their increased armor (the other four Fend-Class Heavy Frigates were destroyed during the Londre Incident due to insufficient armor).

The Febueln and Fandorra were both sold to the Jixnor Democracy for sixty-five thousand Lenets each, but the Jixnor Democracy later sold a refitted version of the Fandorra for over one-hundred thousand Lenets to a private security company. The Febueln however, was transferred to the Jixnor Royal Navy for the Jixnor monarchy’s person use.

The Febueln has served in almost every single conflict in the galaxy, from the blockade of the Varn System, to the First and Second Piracy Wars. She also has claimed at one enemy in each conflict she’s entered – something only a handful of warships have accomplished.

The Febueln has seen numerous refitting and redesigns the most current one being after the during the Second Piracy War in which the two bow Hinton cannons were replaced with two burst laser cannons. Her selonic cell banks have also been replaced to support the new burst laser cannons; allowing for increased range. She’s also had her computer system stripped out twice, allowing her to reducing her crew by over one-hundred.

The Febueln only fought in a few battles during the Agronomic War. She was mainly use as a border patrol vessel during the Agronomic War, but she did serve in both Battles of Blandimen and was an orbital bombardment ship during the invasion of Luncor.

The Febueln has a very bright future as she can fill a number of combat roles and duties. In fact there are rumors that the Jixnor Democracy will subcontract Tronde Shipyards to reintroduce the Fend-Class Heavy Frigate; bringing an over seventy year old design back to life.

Spaceship Earth at Walt Disney World's Epcot near Orlando, Florida.

The top view of the BoB Spaceship.

This is an old spaceship of mine, i made it a few years ago, it was one of my first GOOD creations.

The interior of a new type of train here in the Netherlands.

Playroom on board the Mirage spaceship, coming soon in January 2022.

Benny has a new white spaceship! The cockpit opens of course. There is a lightbrick inside to illuminate the spaceship (push the button behind Benny).

It's pretty much impossible to get a photo of the Spaceship Earth through the arch. For this photo, I shot a sequence (handheld) of photos as people walked in front of the arch. Then, I used Photoshop to combine them into a smart Object with the median stacking mode. It's not perfect (I can see a couple of ghosts), but it's definitely better than I could do with a single photo during normal guest hours. This was 8 years ago; I haven't looked through the arch lately, but unless they cut that tree down, any photos would be obscured by the tree.

I have a dream to one day build a kick-ass spaceship and participate in SHIPtember. The problem is, this is not at all my area of expertise, and I don't really know how to build a ship. It was Star Wars and its spaceships which drew me to Lego in the first place. But when I started MOC'ing I found myself doing landscaping and trees and natural stuff mostly, because gardening is another hobby and I found it 'easy' to garden with Lego. Turns out I'm not great at designing buildings and vehicles. But those are the sets I like the most (Star Wars, various Space themes, Modular Bldgs, Architecture) - probably because Lego can design them much better than I ever could.

However, I love to learn new things and I want to expand my abilities, so I'm setting out on a spaceship building adventure! Next year I will design and build some spaceships, using trial and error to figure out how to do things and learn from both Lego official sets and other people's custom designs on the web. (I'm following many great builders on Flickr plus the existing SHIPtember group). And next September (2018) I plan to build for SHIPtember!

Technically I started this endeavour last fall. Our club had built a collaborative Moonbase display for Brix n Blox, and I contributed 5 modules - my first foray into space! One was a spaceship parking lot, but I had no spaceships because I hadn't had time to build any. I had a second copy (for parts) of Benny's Spaceship (one of my fav sets) and while I was at the show I sat down and tried to design a spaceship from those parts (plus a handful of other 'spacey' parts thrown in). With that limited palette and time I came up with 2 small ships (pic) - blue was first and I don't love it but it's ok. The grey/black one was second and I like it better. Guess I'm learning already but I have a long way to go to get to 100 studs!

So bear with me over the next while as I try to figure this all out. With lots of time, and both my fairly large existing parts collection and the ability to order what I need, I hope things will get easier. I will post some pics of WIPs and ask for feedback to help me learn - thanks in advance for your help and to everyone who posts their awesome spaceship builds!

(Please feel free to direct me to feeds of any great spaceship builders you know)
