Walt Disney World, Epcot - 12/30/11
Black and white interpretation of Spaceship Earth from the archives.
A decommissioned corvette from the Nanite Wars, stripped of its weapons and converted for civilian use, now serving as the home of a small group of individuals hoping to prevent the rise of the Cascaders...
The first of several ships I've designed for an original sci-fi story I've come up with called Binary Souls. This is the hero ship, serving as the home of the main characters and pretty much a character in its own right. I've got plenty of ideas and recently finally got around to downloading Stud.IO, so expect more uploads from me in the near future!
Spaceship Earth and an approaching thunderstorm during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World's Epcot near Orlando, Florida.
I got this because it is a STAR Team Item
STAR Team is Ideals' KO of Star Wars.
From 1977.
Some version of this game was released originally in 1968. So they just slapped the STAR Team logo on it. Even though there appears to be no connection to the STAR Team line ! If they would have put the characters on the box or something ? But no, just the logo. It makes a nice back drop for the collection. If I only had a place to display them :).

My Moc for SHIPtember
High: 110 studs Wide: 57 studs Length: 34 studs
Walking around World Showcase, I just liked how the trees blocked off Spaceship Earth. It wasn't an angle I've seen thus far. I also noticed I haven't posted a daytime, outdoor shot in quite a while, so I wanted to move away from dark shots.
I discovered this after messing around with some new pieces I ordered to make bombs the way Red Spacecat did on his Seahawk. Hopefully this helps some of you space builders who are working o SHIPs right now. It was difficult to get rid of some gaps because of how small it is. This engine would be easy to attach to almost any spaceship as well. Pretend the grey pieces are black as I didn't have enough black 2x3 wedge plates or 2x1.45 rails. If I do build a SHIP soon it definitely wont be don't by SHIPtember but it should be done by the end of this year.
The Nevermore is a smuggling ship owned by Ghu'bak Dnab of the Draconi system. Originally a MT-550 medium freighter, the Nevermore has been refitted multiple times. The ship now carries a modified shield generator from a light corvette and a class-1 hyperdrive. However, the ship is unarmed.
The crew is comprised of Ghu'bak Dnab, Elizabeth Chon, the navigator from earth, Dr. Deah, a genius monkey from Ondor II, and F-590, their droid pilot.
Ghu'bak Dnab inherited the Nevermore from his father and refitted the ship over his long career. Originally, Ghu'bak and F-590 were the pilot and navigator of the ship respectively, but Elizabeth was recruited on Honogh and Ghu'bak retired to an overseer position. The latest addition to the crew was Dr. Deah, a cyborg monkey.
The Nevermore primarily smuggles fruits, vegetables, and other foodstuffs, which were bought on the black market to wealthy worlds around the galaxy. The Nevermore also occasionally smuggles rare, cloned sentinent species. In this case, the Nevermore is smuggling endangered Gungans to a vast, illegal game preserve on the planet of Mare Infinitus. Gungan is a delicacy across the galaxy and for this reason they have been hunted into near extinction. Dr. Deah clones the Gungans himself or they are kidnapped by bounty hunters and bought by the crew of the Nevermore, where they are stored in cryo tubes.
Fully equipped with two bunks, a galley, and, of course, the purging facilities.
The first park that we planned to visit on our trip was Epcot. This was for two reasons, one because we wanted to see Illuminations our first night, and two because we had a dinner ADR at San Angel Inn for all nine of us. This was my first HDR of the trip and of course it had to be of Spaceship Earth. I was really pleased with how my Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 performed on this trip. I can't wait to share the rest of my shots with you all. I've been processing all day today and things are turning out pretty good. Can't wait! Enjoy!

Spaceship Earth at EPCOT
"Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow "
Spaceship Earth is the iconic and symbolic structure of Epcot, the second of four theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort. One of the most recognizable structures of any theme park, it is also the name of the attraction that is housed within the 18-story geodesic sphere that takes guests on a time machine-themed experience using the Omnimover system.
Although the spaceship is confined to a limited space within the atmosphere.. :) Hot air baloon gas burners.
This Little Spacecraft has an excellent combination of speed an armour. The Red Arrow is like the Ferrari of the Spaceships fast, and sweet, but takes the bite, when it needed. The major problem with the Arrow it is their weak weaponry, it only has 2 medium pulse laser. It is fair enough, when they need to clear the road in the front of it, but not enough for a long lasting fight!
(The Red Arrow it's a gift form my friend Gergő Homolya, [CaptianPaw www.flickr.com/photos/115132475@N04 ] when I did visit them in Szeged! [I live in Budapest...] It was a hard to get gift Gergő kept promise, that they will give it to me, when I visit he next time [That was last year..] and that near 100-150km it's a long enough distance to make this visit hard to make... But I make it :D! [And to be fair I did give him some gift's to! {A Classic Space Maaaan...} But it worth it!
Nothing means more, than a friend, who also likes Lego!)
