Apparently as of today there are only 19 patched AC4400s left on the UP . The SP is dying a slow death
The "Wachovia" skyscraper in the background proudly marks it's home of Jacksonville, Fl, as a welcomed SP veteran visitor has come a looooong way to see us.
Still flying in my garden but the markings on the face were too irregular to take this Eupeodes sp. further, but my best guess is Eupeodes luniger. (27/11/2020)

This was a 'spam' project of mine, trying to utilise the same parts as much as possible to make a unique aesthetic. I recommend trying it, depending on part choice it can be interesting =]

A few years ago I rebuilt the #6781 SP -Striker from my childhood, maybe my favorite Lego set of all time, and I've been wanting to rebuilt it with more modern parts while keeping the original shapes, proportions and of course light function. The build went quite easily and only took a few hours, but the lighting system was quite challenging. My first idea was to use PF lights, but it was a failure. In the end, I'm using 3 light bricks: a white/yellow for the cockpit console, and two red ones for the main lights. A knob allows to switch the lights on and of (I'll try to make a picture of the mechanism). I also had to redesign the cell pod, again trying to keep the same size and shape. I added a M-Tron magnet on top because magnets are cool! And that allows me to secure the pod at the back of the Striker without using clips.
Hope you like it as much as I do :)

Southern Pacific GP9R 3401 in Watsonville Junction, California on an unrecorded day in December 1974. Cotton Belt GP9 3648 is in front of it and it appears the GP9 behind it is 3461.
Five days a week the Morgan City Yard crew cranked up their switch engine to work the industries in Morgan City and Berwick, Louisiana. The yard consisted of two sidings along side the main line and a tail track that led to a pipe unloading facility. The yard crew was very friendly. SP SW1200 2314
