Possibly O. lurida, but there are several similar species! On a lovely Sheep's bit scabious! (plus there's a ubiquitous pollen beetle!)
Cap de la Chèvre - Finistère
During my 1989 trip we spent some time in far northern California on the SP Black Butte Subdivision near Mt Shasta. There was not a lot of traffic but the scenery was magnificent. This is the LA to BRooklyn(Portland, OR) Trailers north of Mt Shasta.
Southern Pacific GP40-2 #7671 heads Westbound, just past the W. Palm Springs siding in February of 1987.
In normal light this is the Moth, Gonodontis sp. that was featured in the previous image, Pic taken in Simei.

Southern Pacific Railroad GP9E 3332 at Memphis, Tennessee on March 15, 1985, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built as 5650 in March 1956 ( c/n 21343 ) on EMD Order 5436, it became 3483 in the 1965 systemwide renumbering. Starting in 1970, the GP9's were rebuilt and this unit became 3332 after rebuilding. According to the Unofficial EMD Home Page, this unit went on to become KSW 3332, CKRY 3332, and finally OTRX 902. It was stenciled: PINE BLUFF PBMOO 3 85.

Southern Pacific Railroad SW1500 2600 and MP15AC 2734 at Tucson, Arizona on November 21, 1985, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The SW1500 was built in October 1971 ( c/n 4608-10 ) on EMD Order 4608. The MP15AC was built in October 1975 ( c/n 756053-3 ) on EMD Order 756053, and eventually became UPY 1462.
