It snowed today.
In Canberra.
The first time in the five years we have been here.
Chris said : I have always thought I would never leave Canberra until it snowed in my backyard.
And now it has.

This is north portland resident Eric Nixon. He ventured out to get some water...two five gallon jugs in his Xtracycle (that's about 95 pounds).
It's snowing in Austin, Texas today-we're expecting between 1 and 4 inches where I live. As you can see from the photo here, we've already gotten about an inch on the ground. The weatherman expects more to come over the course of the afternoon.
It only snows here about once in every five years and it's been a long while since we've had an accumulation of this nature.
