We got about 6 inches of snow; it started at about 7:00 last night and kept on going and going -- really heavy snow.

 

Yesterday at school, the buzz around the building was the possibility of a snowday. We got our wish! The best thing is that it turns our weekend into a three-day weekend. Also, it wiped out a very hard music test, a physics test, and, well, school in general.

This was taken during an unplanned snowday, where students took the opportunity to play some snow games. She is one of the Residence Director's daughters who joined in the fun.

So there's a snowstorm here in Seattle too. All of the hills have turned into icy slide; perfect for having a bit of dangerous and illegal fun on public property.

 

I figure if the road is meant for cars and cyclists than a serving tray is a perfectly legitimate vehicle too. No one hassled me and eventually a crowd gathered and we got races going in-between cars.

I think, having poked around inside my bettery compartment with a screwdriver, that I may have resolved the issues with the 40D which has been effectively dead for nearly 8 months. It's been powering on and off all day. Not had a chance to go out properly, but took a couple of test shots from my desk instead
